Doesn t melt smoothly These did not melt smoothly (I even bought the Wilton Candy Melting Pot). I added crisco to thin the consistency (as per instructions) and still it was too think and had some lumps that just wouldn t melt. I made them work but it wasn t pretty and thank goodness for sprinkles which covers up the ugly coating on my cake pops.I used the Wilton wafers purchased from Michaels and they worked just fine. Maybe it s the new size wafer or a new recipe? 2Do not order online! I dislike ordering this product through the mail. The candy melts had melted and then harden together. Melts was not smooth as buying from store. I will not buy agsin through the mail but I do like the product. I use for making chocolate mold suckers. 1Don't order these chocolate melts! I have been making holiday chocolate candies for years and pride myself on these tasty creations. I always purchase Wilton Light Cocoa melts for my chocolate creations. This year I decided to save myself some time and order from Amazon instead of driving to my local store. BIG MISTAKE!!! The chocolates were old and whitish in color. I tasted one and you can tell that they were well that they were not fresh chocolate. I am now without holiday chocolates since it is too late to replace. I would not waste my time making anything with these chocolates! They are in the trash!!!! 1COMES MELTED ALREADY! So upset. I received my order and allll of the melts were half melted. When trying to melt them again to make my desserts for a WEDDING, they were coming out clumpy with a terribly thick consistency. Such a mistake purchasing this. Will never buy again! 1Lumpy and does not melt consistently! I wish I had read more reviews before purchasing these melts. They do not melt enough to dip fruit. The consistency is lumpy no matter how long you try to heat them. When you try to stir it, it starts to thicken so fast that you do not even have time to actually dip or pour before needing to heat it again. I did add crisco but it still was not right. Who wants crisco on their fruit anyway? I wasted almost an entire flat of strawberries trying to get these melts to look decent. 1HORRIBLE CONSISTENCY I wanted to make cakeballs for my daughter s wedding. These do NOT melt into a consistency that is satisfactory for that purpose although cakeballs are an example in the advertising. I wonder if they are out of date because the Wilton s products I bought from Wal-Mart worked GREAT in my Wilton s melt pot! These did NOT!! Turn the bowl on it s side, and the melted candy just sat there like cement. Just missed the deadline for returns/refund!! FRUSTRATED and DISAPPOINTED!! 1Not the same I bought these candy melts for chocolate lolipops. I had already made a bunch and ran out of melts, so I ran to my local Michaels, but they were out of stock. I noticed that Wilton had changed their packaging since the last time I bought melts, Dec 17.I ordered these to match my other lolipops, which were Wilton Bright White from the old packaging. Well they are completely different, especially in overall quality. I guess maybe Wilton changed packaging as well as ingredients? The color is off, the flavor is chalky, and they don t melt fully without adding crisco. Now I know with candy melting, sometimes it s suggested to add crisco or a fat, but I never had to do that with the Wilton melts before. Forget flavor too. The old melts taste actually like white chocolate. These do not. The bright white color does not match my old melts.I rate 1 star because they serve their purpose, but I ll be switching brands next time around. 1Yellow isn t yellow I ordered yellow to make more school emblems. These are not yellow, they are a buttery color. I ordered 6 bags and can t use them, I m going to have to find them locally to make my timeline.The bag on the left in my pic is what I already had, the right is this product. 1CHANGED FORMULA Ive used these many times. Lately they are clumping, not melting properly, texture is off, the size of the melt is SO SMALL. What are you doing Wilton???? Please go back to how you use to make them. Finding a different brand. 2Smaller, better I bought a bunch of new molds through Amazon. I could not wait to use them! This was a very good price for so many melts that I had to buy them. They are smaller in size than the old melts that Wilton used to sell. I find that this made them easier to melt. But they are in huge clumps in some of the bags. They still melted, but it took more stirring to get them smooth. This is the reason for only four stars. The taste is so good. Everyone in my family loves these melts. I have already used three bags for various things. It does work well in the Wilton melting pot, but it took 30 minutes to heat up. I will be buying these again when I run out. 4
