Brosive 34x36" incontinence pad - thinI bought this for an elder friend dealing with incontinence. I'm told by her caregiver that this is adequate, but rather thin and not nearly absorbent as the RMS brand: RMS Ultra Soft 4-Layer Washable and Reusable Incontinence Bed Underpads, 34"X36". Since I had 3 different brands shipped to her, and wasted a bunch of money doing so, I thought I'd share the experience so readers could make an informed decision. The other brand that was not great was the Gorilla Grip pads. Yes they are waterproof, but they do not wick away moisture/liquid from the top, resulting in a person staying damp rather than it wicking away. The RMS brand is the best, in the opinion of the caregiver. :) 3Anti-slip it is not.The waterproof backing is not anti-slip and further the backing is not bonded in such a way to prevent curling under use. This is junk and the better one is this one; https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0788GK97M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1as the waterproof backing is bonded to the top layers eliminating the curling. 1They are wonderful. The puppies can't shred themI use these as potty pads for house breaking puppies. They are wonderful. The puppies can't shred them, and they are very absorbent. Great alternative to the flimsy, disposable pads you buy for puppies. 5Keeps me from changing the bedding in the middle of the night, and washing the sheets every dayMy son is a very heavy sleeper. He has many night time accidents. Even having him wear a pull up or diaper doesn't always guarantee a dry bed. Often times they leak, I assume because of his age and size and that they don't make them large enough for his age. This has been so wonderful, so we don't have to change the bedding in the middle of the night if he leaks. We simply pull the wet one out from under him, and Slide the new dry one in.Since they are so portable, I have also used them on his cot for naps, and if he happens to fall asleep somewhere like my sofa or my bed I can slide it underneath him and not worry about him wetting the furniture. For the most part we have used them in conjunction with a diaper and it has done great to catch leaks, so not sure how absorbent they would be if a ton of liquid was poured on them. I would recommend them to anyone who has a similar situation. 5Good thing I sewI recently ordered this two pack. They are not quilted all the way through both layers, so the two pieces shift and move which is uncomfortable under my husband's rear and back. Good thing I sew, because I m going to have to sew through both layers myself. I suggest that the manufacturer sew through both layers, so that there will be no shift or discomfort. 3Quality & durability - Does not meet expectationsSurface material of these two pads isn t cotton, it is a blend. Machine washed immediately from the box and package. It is described as soft cotton smooth and comfortable soft layer which SNAGS EASILY. Pet nails, human fingernails, rough skin tags like rough dry elbows, rough dry hands, ALL SNAG the surface material of these two pads. It is also described as hospital grade material , I DON T BELIEVE IT. These pads DO SLIP with body positioning, repositioning & weight shift adjustment over sheets and bedspreads. My wife and I are NOT happy with this product, as these does not meet our expectation for quality or durability. I ll visit my local Medical Supply for quality product I expect and will purchase best product there. COMPARISON NOTE: I have a real hospital pad with a real cotton quilted fabric padded surface which is of the same approximate dimensions that has literally worn through daily use over the years into the second layer, it is TRUE HOSPITAL QUALITY and has NEVER SNAGGED IN 6-7 YEARS of ownership. NOTE: One positive note, this purchase was quickly shipped & delivered. 2Not for kids who wriggle in their sleepThis is waterproof and holds a lot of liquid. No complaints on that aspect. Unfortunately the back is kind of shiny not grippy so as my daughter moves around in her sleep the pad moves too. It's common to find she has peed right on the edge or it has bunched up so the pee gets on the bed. It does wash and dry in the machines well. It just needs some (machine washable and dryable!) grippy strips on the back. 4Inaccurate descriptionI ordered these specific pads because the description said the top layer was cotton and the absorbent layer was bamboo. The label says the top layer is 100% polyester and the middle layer is 95% polyester, 5% rayon, not a speck of cotton or bamboo. I did not have the option of returning them as I needed them immediately. 1False product descriptionReturning this product because it is not as described on Amazon. The description says "soft cotton top..super absorbent bamboo fiber liner... made of toxic free, totally safe breathable vinyl TPU material." But the actual tag on the product says "Cover: 140g Twill." But what kind of twill? It sure isn't soft cotton as listed in description! Then the filling is listed as "95% polyester/5% viscose" -- not bamboo fiber as listed in the description. The backing is "PVC Coated polyester" -- not the " safe, breathable TPU" as described online. PVC is toxic. In other words, the seller is describing one product and shipping something different. It is rough, stinky and I doubt the polyester filling would even absorb much. Sending it back. 1Great sizeIt s great for diaper changes. We don t have a changing station for our little one so we change him on our bed. After going through many disposable bed pads I found this one and it s amazing. It s been soiled twice now and all I have to do is throw it in the washer and then the dryer. We use one for our 4 year old who still has accidents at night while asleep and to change our 3 month old s diapers who loves to pee while he s naked. The material seems very durable and I feel like these will last us for a while. Totally worth the investment over disposable bed pads. 5
