Very DisappointedMy upper arm is broken right before the shoulder joint. I am a 5 4 female with a medium frame. I ordered this sling thinking it would fit because it s adjustable, however, I had to take the straps up as much as possible and the neck strap is digging into my neck. Also, the strap at my neck feels soft enough to my hands but against my neck it s very scratchy. If I bring my arm way around toward the front the neck strap is in the correct place but that makes my arm hurt. If my upper arm is straight by my side then the strap is not comfortable. 3Good ProductI've had issues with my left rotator cuff for years because of work. It still pops up every now and again. It's so painful. I can't lift it nor move it in any way. My daughter made me a sling, which gave me some support but not enough for me to do much of anything but sit still and moan. My daughter checked at Amazon, found and bought this product for me. When it arrived, I said "you're kidding right"? It was so light-weight and easy to use, I was sure this was not going to work. But, worked it did. She adjusted it to give me the right amount of support but not too restrictive. The sling worked nicely; happy to have it. 5Great sling for a great price!I am pre-surgery with left rotator cuff damage and am in a fair amount of pain without the use of a sling. I am very pleased with the quality and comfort of this sling. For the price, especially! I find it breathable, soft, and supportive. The neck strap has a great cushion. There are some reviews that mention the strap being rough - the rough side goes on the outside, not against your neck. The inside mesh pockets are a nice touch, but just a wee bit too small for my android phone. The straps are easy to adjust for a great fit. This was a great purchase for me. 5Too short, scratchy paddingJust had distal bicep tendon repair surgery. So disappointed I m writing this with my one good hand.First problem: too short/too shallow. I m 5 10 and struggle to stretch this from my elbow to wrist. Plus it only comes up halfway on my splint/cast. This thing is child sized.Second problem: straps adjust by threading through a buckle. Difficult to do if you re using one good hand. Extremely poor design.Third problem: shoulder pad on strap is made from fabric that scratches my neck like sandpaper. Kind of defeats the whole point of the padding.Poorly designed product and waste of money. 1Comfortable, soft slingI purchased two slings to try in preparation for shoulder surgery. I ended up using this one because it was more comfortable. Very soft material. I like the easy, quick release Velcro to take on and off for showering. Also has 2 inside pockets for carrying small items like drivers license, credit card, etc... Due to my size (4' 10"), I had to make a few minor adjustments by altering the straps shorter. My husband also bought a snazzy seatbelt cover from Auto Zone Store to go over the strap portion against my neck which made it even more comfortable (picture). I am wearing the sling 23 hours a day for 6 weeks and could not be happier. I would recommend purchasing. 5Far superior to "Basic sling"I broke my collarbone, so got a $12 sling from the grocery store until I could see the orthopedic doc. Cheaply made, irritated my neck and UGLY. After my appointment, the doc sent me to the local store to get a better sling, or so I thought. What they had was as bad or even worse than the grocery store model, and they wanted $30, not covered by insurance. I bought this sling and it arrived in a day, and I have been wearing it since. It's comfortable, nice looking (for a sling), adjustable and a major improvement for $12.99. Highly recommend. 5Well MadeI've had this for a month and am using it for a fractured wrist with arm in cast. Even though the straps adjust front and back, the part where your elbow goes is pretty deep, and I couldn't get comfortable wearing it at first. Then I had the idea to put a folded up cashmere scarf in the elbow area, and then this sling fit like a dream and is super comfortable. The scarf is like a pillow for my elbow, which makes it even better. I'm giving this 5 stars because it's very well made, can be adjustable, and the shoulder strap part is very comfortable and padded. It's not hot in warm weather, and the material feels fine on skin; there are no itchy parts. For fit reference, I'm 5'9, 135 lb, and I have thin, long limbs. I do not think this would work for petite people because the length from elbow to thumb end is not adjustable. If you have short arms, your hand will be lost inside it, which is not good health wise. 5Good but can irritate neck slightlySo I got hit by a car and had to get two plates put into my wrist. Needless to say, I will be in a sling for a few months and the hospital sling was not cutting it. I found the Vive sling online, and I liked the idea of pockets as I can't use my right side pockets anymore. The pockets are actually really useful, and can fit my wallet without falling out. I also put my pain pills in there when I go about my day and I haven't had any issues with it falling out.Now the sling itself is a soft stretchy material thats great on the arm. There's nice padding on the shoulder which helps my shoulder not hurt. But, the opposite side of the pad is a rough material which goes to the edges and sometimes rubs on my neck which is really uncomfortable. I wrapped the edges in fabric tape and problem solved though.Overall a great sling if you're in need. 4I loved the idea of this slingI loved the idea of this sling. The one I got from the doctor is awful - uncomfortable and not breathable. I have a broken arm with little use of my hand. I cannot get into this sling by myself - the velcro strap that disconnects isn't easy to loop back through the tab - a two handed person struggled with getting it in there, and the front strap isn't long enough for me to undo to hook over my head without moving the arm/shoulder. Nor does it loosen easily (which wouldn't be a bad thing if there was another way into the sling). 1Not a sling to sleep in.I bought this for my husband who had Rotator Cuff surgury thinking it would be more comfortable than the one from the hospital. The problem is there is a buckle in the back, just as there is in the front that digs into his back when we rests it aganist the back of a chair. Since he has to sleep in the sling it will not work to sleep in. I got a e-mail from the Vive Health. I went back to them with the problem. They suggested putting foam or a cloth behind the buckle. That really does't work. It's ok for him to wear when he is walking. Just understand that the buckle in the back will dig into your back if you are resting against anything. 3
