Extremely small, extremely stiff- a total waste of money.Purchased these because the specifications and sizing on the package matched those on the support stockings that a friend received in hospital, so that they would have addition pairs to wear during convalescence. Totally inaccurate! I couldn't even get them on, never mind get them on to someone larger than me who needed careful handling after major surgery. Incredibly stuff, inflexible, and if these are XL I can't imagine for who- a child? I forgot to return them in the shuffle of post-operative care, so alas I'm now also out a lot of cash for a junky product that was not even close to advertised.1the company should have a way to sanitize any returns sent that are in perfect condition. I must wear compression stockings allI ordered these stockings in accordance with the sizing chart. I did see where the sizing chart is not definite & to only use it as a tool of comparison. The one I tried to wear was too tight to put on over my heal. I requested a return but received a email telling me that due to the skin contact that this item cannot be returned. I did not contaminate this item. Also, the company should have a way to sanitize any returns sent that are in perfect condition. I must wear compression stockings all the time so need a goodly supply on hand. I have only had to return a order one time due to being too small & was given no problem with this return. I am disabled & have a very limited income & cannot afford to buy items of this expense that do not fit & were falsely advertised regarding the sizing information. This item seems to be of excellent quality but I suggest you order a size smaller than the chart suggest. I hope this information will be of use to customers in the future until they can correct their sizing chart. I really wish I did not have to lose this much money for it puts a terrible strain on my disabled income. Sincerely dissatisfied customer.1Coarse,Uncomfortable and bad color.I ordered these Truform stockings as a backup to the pair I purchased recently at a specialty store where they fit and sell only compression hose (that pair cost $88). I recently had a procedure (micro ambulatory phlebectomy) done on both legs so needed quality compression hose which I will be wearing for a good month post procedure. The fabric and weave (of the Truform) is SO coarse that it makes wearing these stockings quite uncomfortable, if not downright painful. After 12 hours of wear, I could not get them off fast enough. The color is more of a white-nude'....not at all attractive. The more expensive pair (Mediven) is a fine weave with a more natural color, such that I could wear them with shorts and be just fine. At 5'7";120 lbs 32" inseam, I have long, slender legs and the top band is almost too snug while the length is nearly too short. I had ordered a 'Medium'. I felt like I was always tugging at them (not so with the Mediven, which has many more size options). I hope this helps the decision making process when purchasing compression hose.1Great stock!!!I just had a total knee replacement and my surgical leg was huge. The stockings i had from the hospital were not the recommended compression. After switching to these I had dramatic improvement in the swelling. My thigh was 24 inches an other side was 22. The xtra large worked for me. They are hard to get on. Use a plastic grocery bag over your foot to get them past ankle then remove the bag and pull hard. I am a physician and I will recommend them to my patients. I found the upper band stayed in place well. I do have muscular legs and did not feel pain from them.5Helps with DVT reliefThese stockings are ugly and not comfortable on hot summer days. However, they do their job of providing graduated compression to help blood flow back out of feet and lower legs and back up to the heart. People with DVTs in their leg(s) wear these stockings to help prevent painful leg swelling. They're also worn by people with varicose veins, people trying to prevent varicose veins, and people with ankle, foot, or leg edema.They're not going to start a fashion trend any time soon, but they serve a medical purpose. The fabric on Truform is pretty thick (which will make you think it's easier to put on), but cannot say the fit since I took one off as soon as I tried it. The open toe (many of you may like) is a terrible design on compression socks and immediately didn't feel right because my toes weren't getting normal blood circulation. If you are looking to buy this brand and you know it works for you, I would recommend to get a closed toe.Terrible customer service and it will be wasting your finances if you're NOT ABSOLUTELY SURE if these are in fact the right compression socks for you.1Top Band of Thigh too Tight for WomenI ordered this in XL, which is the size for my measurements. Maybe these would work well on men who normally have firmer and more muscular thighs, but I find this not to be good for women with soft fleshy thighs. The stocking fit everywhere else and was the right length, but the band at the top was so tight, it was like wearing a tourniquet, and felt like when you wrap a rubberband tightly around your arm. I could not stand it. RECOMMEND you buy BriteLeafs Sheer Compression Stockings Thigh High 20-30MMHg firm support, open toe, stay-up silicone band. I ordered those in size XL and they fit perfectly, plus they are very comfortable. The top band is wider and has more stretch, which keeps it from having that tourniquet effect. And it stays up very well - unless you have really skinny legs, which I don't.2The stockings slip to knee level.I have several pairs of Trueform compression stockings. These stocks work well when new but after one or two washings, the tops of the stockings will slip to your knee or below after a short time. This cuts off the circulation to your lower leg. You have to take your pants off to pull them up. There are other brands that work much better. I have discarded all of my Trueform stockings and replaced them with another, similarly priced brand.1Rip OffCompressionStockings+ I followed this company's measuring instructions and ordered the medium size. These were so small that I could just barely slip my foot through the ankle part of the sock (With assistance from my wife). Once I had them on, they were extremely tight. I had ordered two other compression socks in a medium size from other companies and they fit beautifully. I decided to return this pair and requested a refund. They said if the package had been opened that I could not return them. NO REFUND, NO CREDIT, NO NOTHING.. They are selling a "Small" size as a "Medium." They got my $30.50 and I got ripped off.....1Did the trick on a long flightLong flight from Maryland to Kauai; my ankles & lower legs tend to swell (and it takes a couple days to return to normal). I put these on pre-dawn before boarding the flight; fairly comfortable, fairly easy to put on (I'm 5'5", 135 lbs, size 6; I bought a Medium). Took them off immediately in the arrival airport - no (or negligible) swelling! However, putting them on at 11 pm for the redeye return flight was a *real* struggle! Not only were my legs more filled-out at the end of a long day, but the heat/humidity made them sweaty/sticky. Nevertheless, it was do-able, and I arrived without swelling. (I had also ordered, and took with me, the Truform 0865 below-knee stocking, in case these were unbearably uncomfortable on my thighs [although they came up nearly to my crotch, they weren't too uncomfortable, and the edge binding that some people complain about didn't bother me]).5
