The padded straps that go over your shoulders and through ...The padded straps that go over your shoulders and through your armpits twist and rub enough to the point of being raw . I wore it 1 to 2 hours to break it in but it never improved, I would not buy this item again does not work as advertized 1great product!My wife and I are both physician assistants in busy emergency rooms. She ordered a StabilityAce first and felt marked improvement in posture and comfort of her head and neck after her 12-hour shift in the ER, so I then decided to order one myself. We are both very satisfied with the product and recommend it without reservation. 5Good quality, but not particularly comfortable (or flattering)This is a well-built product. Very sturdy, and high quality.It works well to position my shoulders, but the straps are quite thick. It's not particularly comfortable, but you get used to it pretty quickly. The more you try to 'fight' it, the more uncomfortable it is. Keep your back straight and shoulders back and it's better.It's quite difficult to get into. I tried to leave the straps connected, and I could barely wiggle in -- in fact, I got some friction burns from the way I slid my arms through! Totally my fault. I loose a strap now.Time will tell if this has any long-term impact, but I feel pretty good about it. 4but I feel like I have to for this product because it works ...I don't normally go back and write reviews for products, but I feel like I have to for this product because it works amazingly and it's very inexpensive. I have forward head posture and my shoulders round and I slouch. I bought this and wore it almost daily for several hours and within weeks noticed a difference. I still wear it a couple times a week, but have noticed that when I don't wear it my posture has also changed dramatically and permanently. I feel better too. I didn't realize how terrible my posture made me look at feel until I got this to correct it. At first wearing it can be a little uncomfortable under the arms, but then you get used to it and it's worth it anyway for the results. I would wear it over my work shirt and I just let my coworkers know I have back issues and pain and am trying to correct it - everyone was understanding of it. Also I used to have a dull pain near my neck and shoulders and after I wore this for a few weeks I noticed that pain was gone. This is totally worth it! 5There's a knack to using this.I use this product occasionally when I sleep, because I sleep on my left side and the right shoulder gets strained from rotating all the way forward. There's a knack to adjusting this product for optimal tension. This brand has excellent instructions and you need to progressively tighten or loosen the straps until it fits properly. It would help if you had another person to assist when you first set it up. After that, it's easy to slide it on once you understand how to use it. Very, very effective and solved my shoulder issues. 5It's pretty nice, very comfortableIt's pretty nice, very comfortable. (the straps are thick so if it's too tight then it can be kind of annoying in the armpits but if it's that tight then you're probably going to feel some tingling in your arms) but if you wear it just right where it pulls your shoulders back just enough, then you're good. Something I noticed though when wearing it for the first few times is that is does help keep my shoulders back which is what I wanted, but I still haunch over mid back. I'm a 22 year old female and my back is already a mess. Too many video games. Play outside kids. And remember to eat your veggies. 4So happy!!!I'd like to start off by saying that I am a large busted female who has constantly experienced shoulder pain relating to my slouching. When I received this in the mail and began using it I was thrilled. While wearing it one immediately stands with their shoulders back. I wore this around my house often and found that the good posture followed me outside the house when I wasn't wearing the brace within weeks. The padding is comfortable and doesn't cause rubbing like other braces. Overall I am so pleased and would recommend this product. 5Great product, equally incredible customer serviceWow! OK, a couple of things here. One is that I bought this and started using a handful of days ago. It really seems to help my posture. I find it comfortable and it keeps my shoulders back. I'm taking PT at the hospital to work on exercises to correct my posture and this really helps me during the day. As a programmer, I have developed bad posture over the years and that has recently led to back pains and trigger points in my rhomboid(sp?) muscles. This support really seems to help so far. I use an XL and wear it on the outside of my clothes.The device is great and a wonderful value, but I am equally, if not more, impressed with the customer service. After ordering the device I got an email or two from the company thanking me and letting me know what was coming and a few caveats and tips for using the device. Today I got another email with LOTS of details and helpful hints, particularly aimed at the XL size I bought. I really appreciate this kind of customer service and followup. Hats off for such an incredible experience. 5A simple, straightforward, and very usable braceIt works and fits as advertised. I have worn it for several hours a day when at home to develop a muscle memory of what it's like to keep my shoulders back, which definitely eases the shoulder impingement that plagues me. Every so often I'll wear it for a few hours to reset myself when I discover that I've been relapsing. It's inconspicuous enough to wear under a shirt and jacket, but is somewhat visible under just a shirt. I was okay with wearing it next to the skin, and it's easier to get into that way.It takes a little figuring out to be able to get it on and off reasonably easily. I suggest getting someone to help you the first time, and finding out how loose you can set the straps and still be able to reach them when it's on. The more room you have, the easier it is to get in it, but the looser the straps, the harder they are to reach to tighten them. Don't forget to return them to the loosest usable point before getting out, and it'll be as easy as possible to get back in it.I dropped a star for only one reason. I've had rounded shoulders most of my life, so it takes some pressure to hold them back where they should be. When the straps are that tight, the D-rings on the back can rotate and bunch up the strap, which is not as comfortable as it should be. If the manufacturer would mount those rings in something sturdier, or sew them in more tightly, they wouldn't be able to flip around, and it'd be an improvement. 4SHOULDERS BACK, HEADS UP, TRY THIS ONEIf I may, please refer to my product review of the BetterBack support belt. I have found that this product is very effective and one of the best of its type that I have encountered even after decades of hunting, trying, and returning would-be upper back support correction devices. I especially like this one because it does not require any pressure on my belly for the product to work effectively. If you can read this, you can figure out the straps. If you make a mistake by not getting the velcro in the right place, there's only one other possibility and so the solution is very obvious. BUT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO USE THIS DEVICE. DO NOT TRY TO CORRECT DECADES OF POOR POSTURE IN THE FIRST 24 HOURS OF OWNERSHIP. When finished with your time in the device, I take off the velcro strap as it was, and reattach it at the base of the shoulder pad. It makes getting in and out easier and next time around it just slips on like any upper body garment. This product may not be perfect for every person's needs, but it is a huge help with my posture correction due in part to an aggressive onset of osteoporosis. Using this device does not replace regular and sensible exercise/stretching/walking but it is making a huge difference in my sense of overall wellness. 5
