Amazing Tea...watch out for rocks!First let me say that I absolutely love this tea. It's mint goodness is relaxing and divine. I've tried other "Moroccan" teas before and they all had something wrong with them. Either they were missing the umph that I was looking for or they left a bad, astringent aftertaste in my mouth. This one by Stash takes the cake, it's exactly what my life has been missing.Now, that said, If this wasn't so tasty, I'd have to give it a one star for the abysmal quality controls of my latest order. While I was measuring out my first batch for the Breville, I noticed a rock in my scooper.C'mon, Stash, you can do better than this!Update: 8/19/16I notified Stash of the issue via Twitter and they reached out to me immediately. Stash apologized profusely and agreed to audit their QA practices to ensure this doesn't happen again. They also shipped me a replacement bag of tea. Bottom line, Stash is a great company and I will continue to purchase their products.4Flavor gets weaker everytime!I do love Lapsang Souchong a lot and I had been ordering it from Stash for the last 1.5 years. My problem is the flavor gets weaker and weaker every time I order.I don't know why people having hard time understanding but this is a tea that needs to have a "Strong Aroma". I believe Stash started mixing it with milder teas in order to lower the aroma and satisfy those customers non-sense demands. This is no longer Lapsang Souchong it is just another tea with a little bit of a smokey flavor.I am really upset that now I need to find another company that sells the real version.1I got a literal bag of tea dust.There are no full leaves in this bag. I just opened it and it's full of the finest ground tea. It might as well be in tea bags. I can't even fill my tea ball like normal because it just falls back out. I wanted to buy from Stash to support a local company but I'll have to look elsewhere.I'm updating this review to add a picture of this tea from their website.1I use it in WFPB/vegan recipes for a great smoke flavor!This makes an interesting and unique tea, but mostly I love blending the leaves into powder, and either mixing it into to salt to sprinkle onto anything, or else directly adding into any food I want that smoky/grilled flavor for, since I eat whole food plant based and avoid animal products. The bottled smoke flavors are okay, but I like this so much better! A tsp added to a pot of cooking beans along with chipotles, herbs and spices is amazing! It gives soups and stews a new depth, and makes any veggie burger tastes like it came off the grill. Alternately, for a milder effect you can just brew a strong tea and add that, but since the tea leaves themselves are full of antioxidants and nutrients, I'd just rather eat them too, they disappear into recipes. This brand is less expensive, and as good or better than more pricey ones. Recommended!5Delicious and Gluten Free English Breakfast BlendI'm sitting here enjoying a cup right now and feeling very thankful for the customer service that was willing to verify that this tea is certified gluten free. Those of us with celiac know how important those words are (and have probably been gluten-poisoned a time or two by well meaning people who don't understand how easily barley and cross contamination can sneak into food and drinks). This is an excellent black tea. Smooth, not bitter taste; large cut leaves, no sediment passing through my tea diffuser; all in all wonderful.5I love this aromatic, refreshing jasmine green teaThis tea is delicious and the price can't be beat. I love being able to buy it in bulk, so that I can drink it all day long without worrying about running out. (I have bought the one pound bag several times.) The mix of jasmine blossoms to green tea leaves is just right, producing a very refreshing, thirst-quenching tea that is the first thing I want to drink in the morning, and the last thing at night. Delish!5The Real DealAfter reading Ikigai, which talks about the Okinawan's penchant for jasmine tea, I decided I had to have some. The problem is, most of what saw in the stores ... Whole Foods, for example ... seemed to be jasmine challenged. It sounded as if there might have been jasmine blossom waved across the green tea leaves, with nary a jasmine bit in the tea itself, and since the jasmine flowers were reputed to have some pretty powerful health properties, that wasn't acceptable to me. But Stash, a brand I like for their Double Bergamot and Moroccan Mint, has actual jasmine flowers in this loose leaf green tea. You can see the little white bits. And, the fragrance of jasmine is authentic and the taste is of jasmine, so I'm sold. A teaspoonful is perfect, and this package will provide many cups of tea and a lot of health benefits.5Really Bad Tea, Even if You Want Tea Really Bad!Powdery, fine, worse than Lipton! If I could give it less than 1 Star, I would. Such a relief to be back to my Coffee Bean Irish Breakfast Tea.If the stash stuff was all I could get, I might consider coffee, and that s a startling change after 63 years!1Great everyday black teaFor the English Breakfast: I m moderately picky about black loose leaf tea, which I drink daily. I can t stand bagged teas of any type anymore, but I don t need the highest quality or precise brewing to enjoy it either. This is a great daily cup of black tea.1. The leaves are mostly whole and not broken (see photo - random scoop from a half used bag).2. The packaging is adequate for storage and easy to reseal.3. The taste is not spectacular or interesting but a nice smooth background flavor - little bitterness but not a lot of subtlety either. Perfect for a daily starter cup.4. The package I have has an expiration date of spring 2020 (ordered July 2019) - so sufficiently far away. Not the freshest but not intolerable.Overall, I m pleased to finally find an everyday black tea I can get through Subscribe and Save.One note that I will add that didn t affect my rating: Amazon sent this as a bag in a box in a larger box, which is totally unnecessary and annoying. Hopefully when it comes with larger orders, the bag will come solo in a large box. I don t need 2 small boxes.4Premium Green TeaI usually like Stash tea but not the Premium Green Tea. The pieces are too small, almost like dust (there is a dust residue at the bottom of my cup even though I use a steeper with minute holes) and make a very bitter tea even in the best conditions (I use a variable temperature kettle for the correct temperature and steep for 3 min max). This does not deserve the label "premium" as far as I am concerned. I will not be buying again and wouldn't recommend for green tea lovers.2
