Customer Reviews

They don t last!I was having issues with plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendonitis so I thought these would make great house slippers due to the higher arch. I liked these when I first got them but they do NOT last. I ve only had them for 3 months and the fur lining is all worn out and it s literally BALD on the sides now. This makes the slippers too big for me so they constantly fall off my feet. The fur also randomly sheds. For how much I paid for these, I m really disappointed... 2Worth the priceI just got these today. I have plantar fasciitis and was looking for a slipper with more support than the ones I had (that were supposedly for arch support). I can actually feel the arch support! I usually wear a 6 to 6.5 and a D width. I often buy 6.5 to allow for more width, but after reading the reviews I decided to take a chance and order the size 6. Out of the box they fit perfectly! Just long enough and no pressure from too narrow a width. They seem sturdy and the soles are thick enough (and with enough traction) so I was comfortable wearing them outside on wet ground to pick up my mail at the mailbox. I am very pleased because I was somewhat reluctant to pay so much for slippers. Well with the money. I would certainly recommend this brand. 5Didn't work for me.The quality of these shoes seemed great. However, upon wearing them - just about every part of my foot hurt. Because of the arch support (which was clearly too much for me) - it made my whole foot weird. So I had to return them. And quite frankly, the customer service was the worst part of my experience. I didn't realize (nor was it stated to me in any way) that I would not be refunded the entire amount - but instead I was charged for shipment back. The person I was emailing with was very short and didn't really seem to care about me, the customer. I hate dealing with companies like that. 3Really helped my Plantar Fasciitis pain!Plantar Fasciitis flare-up caused me to search for comfortable slippers to wear around the house on my hardwood floors.I first ordered a pair of "Vionic with Orthaheel Gemma Luxe" slippers and was extremely disappointed in them - they were cute but the size 9 was WAAAAY too big and my foot slid around so the arch support always seemed to be in wrong place on my foot... I gave them to my niece who wears size 11.Because I was desperate, I decided to splurge and ordered these Spenco Slide Mule slippers. I've had them for 2 weeks now, been wearing daily and... I LOVE THEM! Supportive (not squishy-soft) footbed with good arch support. Fit true-to-size. Easy slide on-and-off. Cute design (my feet don't look big). Seem well-made (so far) - not stretching and not falling apart. Like other reviewers have said, they seem to be getting more comfortable the more I wear them... (I actually hate when I have to switch to my outside shoes (that have arch-support inserts in them) because they aren't nearly as comfortable as my slippers!)I would highly recommend these to anyone suffering from heel pain. Very happy with this purchase. 5Great for Plantar fasciitis painI don't write a lot of reviews, but in this case because these slippers are designed for heal pain sufferers like me, I wanted to help those researching slippers to bring some relief. These are hard plastic molded footbed slippers with a soft fur-like lining. They offer a great deal of support for those of us who cannot go barefoot anytime on hardwood floors. Just know, if you are looking for a squishy feeling foot bed, like kitchen comfort floor mats, then these are not for you. If you need support to assist in relieving pain from plantar fasciitis, then I highly recommend these slippers to you.I find them true to size for an 8M. And, unlike some reviewers, I have not experienced "walking out of them." They stay snug to walk, just like slide sandals would. One last thought, I was also looking for slip on slippers to be able to keep them accessible at my bedside to easily slide into in the dark of night or in the morning. These fill that requirement also. 5LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE SLIPPERS! I try to review items I purchase on Amazon, but sometimes don t get it done. However, I make an effort to review the items I absolutely love. This is my second pair of the Spenco slippers & I LOVE these slippers! I ve worn the pretty red ones for a few years & they are the ONLY footwear I wear at home. The red are impossible to find now so I purchased the tan color.I am not kidding when I say these slippers are the ultimate in comfort.I could easily walk a few miles in them. With Just the right amount of arch support, they are lightweight, support the entire foot, & are so cozy.I wear a shoe size 8. The slippers are an 8 & fit perfectly. I wear them with socks. My red slippers don t look worn at all, so these slippers really hold up to years of constant wear.I wanted another pair to rotate with the red ones, just to give my darling red pair a break! If you need arch support, total foot support, & comfort, you can t go wrong with the Spenco slippers.Do be aware, though, the sole on the slipper is more like a shoe, not squishy down to the floor like a lot of slippers. But, that s why it s so supportive & oh, so comfortable. 5Slipper feels nice. I wish the arch was higher/biggerFelt nice at first, but after a few weeks I had to get rid of them. There isn't enough shape to the heel, and I wish the arch was higher/bigger, as that's why I paid FIFTY FIVE DOLLARS for a pair of slippers when I got plantar fasciitis. Description says "total support footbed" but there is not much support. If you need orthotic support shoes for fallen arches, plantar fasciitis, supination, or pronation, you're better off spending more for a shoe/slipper that supports your foot properly. These were a waste of money. 1I have planter fasciitis and it is very painful especially when I first get out of bedI have planter fasciitis and it is very painful especially when I first get out of bed. I know I have to have always wear a shoe with arch support and soft heel support but putting on a shoe when I first get out of bed is not working for me. After reading another review on this slip on slipper I thought I'd try it. Boy was that reviewer right! This slipper is worth every penny. I slip into it when I get out of bed or come from outside slipping out of my muddy shoes and right into these slippers. Lots of arch support and very soft on the heel. And they come in different colors! I'm a size 9 and their size 9 is what fits! Love em:) 5These are pretty comfortable. The size was a bit more narrow ...These are pretty comfortable. The size was a bit more narrow than expected, but otherwise they're great. I normally wear a 11-12 in womens and I purchased the 11s. I am recovering from a bad foot injury, and these offer plenty of cushion while I walk around on hardwood floors all day. Outside stitching is holding up nicely and the inside is super cozy, with or without socks. 4I Think We Have A Winner!I'm still testing these out, but I think they're a go. It takes time to get used to them as slippers because I think of slippers as soft, and these are in no way soft. But they are what my feet now need, so maybe it's my mindset that needs to change, not my footwear. Like so many women, I had Plantar Fasciitis hit me hard. One day I was fine with the soft fuzzy slippers I wore around the house, the next day, walking was hell, with slippers or without. All of my shoes are of good quality -I stick with Cobb Hill (love!) or Clarks (I have to use my custom insoles with them)- but as a former sales rep, comfort and support are imperative in shoes. Along with style and good looks, of course. It is now possible to have cute shoes with insoles and cushioning (thank you, Cobb Hill!), but that's fairly recent. What saved me from even more pain was the custom insoles my chiropractor insisted I needed 25 years ago, and he was right! My long, slender feet with the lack of arches were primed for Plantar Fasciitis, along with my history of step-aerobics and other exercises that for some reason add to it, then you add in my gender and age (I've hit the mid-life-crisis sex symbol stage), and it wasn't "if" but "when" I would be getting PF! So, the slippers: I like the style and color selections. Practical, but not Granny Feet. The 9M fit my 9.5N feet fairly well. I was worried they'd be too wide and the slippers don't adjust, but they're not bad. The soles could be a little more flexible, but at least they're not the stiff Dansko sole, which is bad for your legs and would have gotten returned. The faux fur is a great touch and my feet appreciate it. I don't like to wear socks with my slippers and so far, the fur has kept my feet plenty warm. Too warm, in fact, but we're just coming into the colder weather. The footbed is hard, but the arch support is sturdy and sufficient. Once again, it's my mindset that I have to conquer, because to me, slippers should be soft, plush, and cushy. But after 6 months of exercise and leg massage and now these slippers, the evil Plantar Fasciitis is now under control. So Spenco obviously knows that they are doing! 4
