Highly recommendedSo, what this does is take up the work of the tendons and muscle attachments that may have been injured without taking on the work of the muscles themselves. For me this meant i could return to the gym and continue to develop my core so that it will be more able to support my Sacroiliac as the sprained tendons heal.I'm told to expect the tendon healing to take months and months. The belt stays in place very well for treadmill and most of the cross fit machines but couldn't take the dragon boat practice (which requires a long reach and a core twist motion). It lost it's positioning in the boat. Nevertheless, I was able to enjoy my sport and then put this belt back on for gym and work and it got me through a season I thought I might not be able to do at all. 5I love this sacro belt!I've been struggling with an unstable SI joint off and on for years due to scoliosis that I've had since childhood. I see a chiropractor on a regular basis but was having trouble with the adjustments that he did not holding. I felt like I was losing my active lifestyle piece by piece. I tried this belt on and with a little tweaking to find the " sweet spot" I have had wonderful results! I can move around with much less pain and am taking way fewer nsaids to control the pain. My chiropractor has also prescribed some core strengthening exercises that I do daily along with some lower back and hip strengthening exercises. The belt is helping me stabilize while I strengthen. I find that I need to wear the sacro belt pretty low on my hips to get the relief that I need. It seems a bit lower than the video shows it but the video is of a male and I'm a female so that may be the difference. It may just be an individual thing since we are all built differently. If you find the belt to not be helpful, try wearing it a bit lower or a bit higher and see if there is a difference. A minor adjustment made a huge difference for me so don't give up too soon. I find the belt to be very comfortable and I even sleep in it. I wear it under my clothing next to the skin and have had no chaffing or irritation. I actually ordered a 2nd one so that when I wash this one I'm not without one while it drip dries!My chiropractor said that wearing this won't make my muscles weaker or dependent on the belt but that it would be very helpful in my healing process. I highly recommend this product and hope you all have as much relief using it as I have.PS You don't need to cinch this belt really tight. If you have it so tight that its uncomfortable to move around or sit, you probably have it too tight. You just need comfortable pressure. Play around with the tightness as well as position to see what is best for you. 5It helps when standing, it doesn't when sitting.I've only had this 2 days so I'm still trying it out. I have an unhappy SI joint on my right side along with chronic low back pain from arthritis as a result of 45 years doing construction work. Will try it for a few more days before deciding if its worth the money and worth keeping or if I just go back to wearing my back brace.UPDATE: After wearing this for a full week while working all day, I have to say it has made a noticeable difference in minimizing my SI joint discomfort while upright. When I sit with the brace on, it becomes almost ineffective and I feel the joint pain, but overall it does help get me through the entire day without the agony I would feel after 3 hours. 4A lifesaver for this pregnant ladyI was a bit skeptical about how well this really works; especially for the price. I am so glad I bought this! I'm seven months pregnant and the dull, boring ache I felt in my low back was almost too much to bear day after day. Especially with two months to go! The SI joint pain is difficult because there's only so much doctors can do medication-wise, so I had to look for other ways to deal with the pain (staying in bed isn't an option for me). This belt is super supportive and I can wear it under my bump so it's not squishing baby girl. The pain is a lot more bearable and I can get so much more accomplished with the belt on. Before I was limping around the house and only able to do about two hours worth of chores/shopping before the pain would be intolerable and I'd have to lay down with an ice pack. No longer! I love this belt and am so glad I made this purchase! 5Worked really good and I've had a couple of monthsWorked really good and I've had a couple of months. Now the velcro is starting to not hold tight and stay. I will have it under my clothes and it will undo itself while I'm dressed sometimes at work. A bit pricey at the start but they did help but not real happy how the velcro is starting to give out. I ordered 2 and they were delivered April 14, 2018 and I've been having trouble with the velco for about a month now. Also the band the goes around is stretched out a bit and not flat anymore. 4but perfect for himI bought this for myself, and a few days before it arrived, my husband "threw his back out", carrying up a heavy load from the basement. He has had this before, and his PT informed him it was his Sacroiliac Joint....NOT his lumbar spine. He tried this, and was able to walk again. I think he feels it's a miracle, but the belt has reduced his usual recovery time from 4-6 weeks down to 2-3 weeks. Yes he's still sore, but this eliminates the spasms that are caused by the joint dysfunction. We resumed our daily 2 mile walking, and although he still has to be careful, this has given him back a normal activity!Placement is very important, as it has to capture the hips at the SIJ level. I had to help him at first, but now he's able to take it off and on very quickly. If it creeps up or down, he can feel right away....I have 40" hips, so the large appears to be a little loose on me, but perfect for him.As it's a little pricey, might be best for one to ensure the low back pain is the sacroiliac dysfunction and not lumbar disease. The literature supports that much of "low back pain" is due to SIJ dysfunction, but a trip to your doctor, chiropractor or physical therapist will ensure you're treating the right problem!! We love it, and I'm getting my own now (probably a M), as I can't get this one away from him! 5Didn't work for me. :(There is absolutely no elasticity to the main portion of this belt and even the straps that you are supposed to use to tighten it have very little elasticity, making it very difficult to pull it tight and make it comfortable. While I followed the guidelines, I suspect the sizing is off, too, unless what I received wasn't correct (but I don't see a size on it). The one I received came in packaging that had obviously been opened (so someone returned it before me). But the thing that makes me most upset, is that when I went to return this, Amazon informed me that it's not eligible for return even though when I purchased it, it was a Prime item that was fulfilled by Amazon! Let me tell you just how thrilled I am to be stuck with a worthless strap that I paid over $60 for!Update: Amazon graciously decided to refund my money, so I least I can find a different SI belt that is a better option for me. 1Standing and walking improving rapidly. I am very pleased.I purchased the Serola belt at the recommendation of my Physical Therapist. I am rehabilitating after a fracture to T10, and an abscess at T4-S1. The place where the abscess was is still very painful when I stand. I am also experiencing arthritic changes and degenerative disc disease down the length of my spine. When I walked, it was only for very short distances, very slowly, and I could not stand up straight. I got the belt, and the difference is amazing. I am walking at almost a normal pace for about 10 minutes and improving quickly. The infection in my sacral spine was eighteen months ago, so I had been flat on my back and not walking further than the bathroom. As a result, I became out of shape and I need to build my stamina back up. Each time I am in therapy, my walking speed, posture and endurance are improving. This is after having it for only two weeks. 5Works for postpartum SI pain. Got me off crutches after large baby delivery.Noticeable relief after less than 2 days of use. I began having SI pain 2 weeks before giving birth to a very large baby. It didn't get better after delivery, and I couldn't out weight on my left leg; I was relying on crutches and very concerned about being able to walk normally and care for my 3 children.I read about this belt and ordered it. Began wearing 3 days postpartum. At first I didn't notice anything and was disappointed but just wore it: not at night. Also began PT and exercises. I used an essential oil helichrysum italicum, which I have used for pain on many different parts of my body with amazing results (including eliminating varicose veins.)All of these measures, but I feel particularly this belt, have meant that within 5 days I don't really need my crutches anymore.The belt itself is very rigid, with 2 side stretchy adjusters. It isn't uncomfortable, but makes the most impressive muffin top: who cares? I watched a YouTube video for how to wear it, because the enclosed instructions are very spare. The video helped.I have nothing negative to say! 5Good, not greatEases the pain, but doesn t take it away. Makes my skin sore after wearing a few hours, and the stiff corners on the elastic straps are very pokey and uncomfortable. Wanted to be able to use this more often, particularly at night, and am disappointed in the comfort level of this pricey belt. Only better than an ace bandage because it bunches less and stays in place. Still have to readjust poky straps a lot, so you can t put it on and forget it. 3
