Not sure...**UPDATE))Although I have a small foot (women's size 6 to 6 1/2) this was so tight on the areas by the top and by the toes that it cut into my foot badly. Now, I am not sure if it's the fault of the brace. I broke my ankle and even after 5 months it still swells quite a bit. So I couldn't wear it. I liked the support it gave around the ankle - it's what it did to my leg and foot. It dug in about an 1/8th of an inch. That was a medium.Since I can't determine if it's because of the swelling of my own foot - I didn't want to knock down too many stars. Trying to decide if I want to try a large.**If I could give the company Senteq a 10 star rating I would**I have changed my rating and review. It WAS my foot. Normally I would take a medium. However, my injury was very bad (see photo) and my foot and ankle still swell badly. My doctor says that will be likely for up to a year.I need support, but the medium was way too tight with the swelling. The large works well. Granted the medium would be more support, but right now it cuts into my foot. I still have the medium and if the swelling calms down I'll definitely use that one. For now the large is working well.Thank you again Senteq for your help. I'd tell most people to order the size the should take. In rare cases, like mine, that might not be what you need. However, for most I think the sizing guide is pretty accurate. 5This product easily accommodates my large feet and anklesI wear 13 EEEE shoes and have large ankles. I would try other SENTEQ products based on the performance of this one. 5excellent productexcellent brace, I had 2 size 1 M and 1 S ( my usual shoe size women 8 B) if follows the guideline I should have size M but due to my exception small bone ankle therefore size M just fits snug on me without any pressure and it helps my sprain ankle a little bit however the smaller size fits better with some pressure helps me a lot, it reduces my pain up to 90%, for starting to wearing it and could be better with overtime, it seems very well made and high quality, I am very satisfied with this brace, now I can walk without having fear of the painful on my ankle 5A PERFECT ankle brace!!!I have osteoarthritis deep in the outer ankle joint of one of my feet, which requires good support even for swimming and various water exercise classes. This neoprene brace is perfect for water activities--or any others. Since it doesn't cover half your foot like some other braces, it can be worn comfortably with all my shoes. This is an important feature. I wouldn't know about high heels though. I also like the length of this brace above the ankle, i.e. not too long. I don't need any compression way above the ankle joint. I highly recommend this product. BTW, I think it fits true to the size. 5Great ankle braceThe ankle brace provides the needed support for my arthritic ankle. Relieving pain in the joint and allowing better flexibility. I wear the Ankle Brace all day every day and find it very comfortable. It doesn't cut into the foot or ankle, a well made product. 5Great product. I suffered a grade 2 ankle sprain ...Great product. I suffered a grade 2 ankle sprain while mountain biking and couldn't walk for about 4 days. Ice packs and ace bandages were very helpful, but I needed something that was going to help me through the rehab process and this product was it. The compression was fairly tight but it didn't suffocate my ankle and cut off the blood flow and it made the walking portion of the rehab process much more easier. If you have suffered an ankle injury or you feel pain or if you just need a little extra support, this product can definitely help, I highly recommend it. 5Comfortable and compactThis ankle sleeve is very comfortable and easy to wear. I bought it to provide compression on a ganglia bump, so I have to wear it for about 6 weeks until the bump goes away. I cannot evaluate it for ankle support since that is not what I needed, but it is comfortable with just the right amount of compression. I wear a woman s size 10 shoe, so I followed the manufacturer s recommendation and ordered an extra-large. The fit is good for me. The neoprene sleeve that was left from the days of kids playing soccer had worn out and begun to fray so I was happy to find a replacement without straps. This sleeve is fine under tights. This brace does not cover as much of my foot as the old one did, but fortunately my bump is on my upper foot nearer to my ankle so that it is under the brace coverage area. The price is reasonable and it arrived very quickly. 5I was excited to try this ankle brace because of ...I was excited to try this ankle brace because of all the reviews and the medical grade. I started jogging 4 months ago, and my left ankle which I twisted twice years back was bothering me. This brace, which is shorter than my old brace, did not work as well for me and I ended up with more discomfort in my ankle than when wearing the old one. I think for me, I need a brace that goes higher up on my leg. The seam at the bottom was a bit bothersome but overall, it is well made.UPDATE: Senteq contacted me, gave me a refund, replaced my ankle braces with an improved seam version, and sent me one of their TRR Gel Ankle Brace with strap free of charge because they thought it would work better for me. They were right! The TRR version is longer with a strap, giving my previously injured ankle the much needed support when I jog. Like the shorter version, the TRR is well constructed. Am very pleased that it works for me, and really appreciate the company's terrific customer service! Updating to 5 stars. 5Great looking, well made, love the brace and customer serviceIt is very well made and great looking but unfortunately even though I chose the size based on my measurements it does not provide the desired compression. Even if I put in on top of a sock, it does not stabilise my "bad" ankle to the degree needed for my workouts and kickboxing training. Probably I should have ordered a size down as some people suggested but I was afraid it would occlude blood circulation.Update: I now own this brace as well - SENTEQ Ankle Brace Support Sleeve - Medical Grade & FDA Approved. Ankle Stabilization Sleeve with Strap and Heel Compression Wrap with Gel Padding Provides Support for Joints and Muscles. (SQ2 N003 M) - and I am very happy with it. The one with straps goes on my "bad" ankle, and the original one is for the "good" ankle, providing warmth and mild support. I can actually run and do footwork without injuring my ankle further. Realistically, a smaller size would occlude blood circulation, so I would not recommend it. However if you need more support, go for the brace with straps. It is very well made and provides almost as much support as professional taping without all the hassle. I guess I will buy more, so that to use basic ones at home and those with straps for training sessions. 5She has been using a different more-bulky brace and found this model works better with a larger selection of her shoes while also ...I'm writing this for my wife who ordered the product, but she gives both the product and the company 5 stars. She originally ordered a medium and did not first try it on until after the 30-day Amazon return limit. When she finally did, it turned out the medium was a little too loose and so I e-mailed the company and they promptly replied and offered to send a size small at no extra cost. She has been using a different more-bulky brace and found this model works better with a larger selection of her shoes while also providing the same support. Way to go Senteq! 5
