Secure SGBM-60S Patient Transfer and Walking Gait Belt offers good value & safety.Pros : Great price, well made, easy of use.Cons : Material could be thicker.Thoughts : I purchased this for a disabled family member. It has performed well through months of regular use. It was sturdy enough to assist in elevation after a fall. This material is thinner than I would prefer, but that has not affected its functionally to date. 5My wife has MS and pretty much wheel chair boundMy wife has MS and pretty much wheel chair bound. Her physical therapist uses this belt for safety concerns. This works very well and is a big help in transferring her from one place to another. Overall it is better for her and for me. I would recommend it to all. 5Did not Work (Returned)My mom and I purchased this when we had my grandfather in our house to take care of him the last few days he was alive, and this did not work at all when we tried to help him get up to go to the bathroom. It wouldn t stay in place, it kept slipping and it was not easy not use. It does the job exactly as it's supposed to, so I highly recommend. It's not as wide as the gait belts they used in the rehab facility, but that doesn't seem to be a problem. 5This belt makes me feel secure.This belt makes me feel secure. I have a brain issue that has resulted in mobility problems on my left side (similar to the effects of a stroke). I have only been using this belt for two days but it has helped both my husband and I get me walking with comfort and confidence. I use a walker with my husband behind me holding the belt. This is much more comfortable than his having to hold me around the waist. The metal buckle is strong and reassuring. I am comfortable wearing the belt all day making it easy for quick use. I have a caregiver that comes twice a week. We'll see what she thinks of it. She is tiny and I have been worried that I might crush her if I were to fall on her. She is much stronger than she looks, though. I am very happy with the quality of the product. It would be nice if the instructions included specifics on how to thread the buckle properly. It is not necessarily intuitive as to which opening should be threaded first and in which direction. 5Safety First, plus Quality productWe are doing elder care in our home for a parent. Due to arthritis, she's currently unable to bear weight on her right leg. This belt is wonderful tool used to assist her in standing, transferring, walker PT exercise, and getting in and out of a car. The belt is heavy canvas feeling and doesn't have a tendency to curl on the edges. The buckle is substantial and is secured with strong stitching. It has a good 4" fold over at the buckle. The opposite end has a 2" by 1/2" metal clip that bites into the belt fabric. Our, in home, Physical Therapists have said it is excellent. I would buy this again but don't think I'll be needing to replace it in my lifetime. 5GAIT BELTA "MUST" FOR PATIENT transferring, for safety. Never use patient clothing for transfer, material can easily rip.This belt is impossible to cut, destroy, or fall off, if tightened around persons waist to the point where two fingers can still easily slip in. One hand should always be on the belt while getting patient up out of bed to wheelchair, commode, recliner, etc. Belt maybe loosened while resting. 5Does what it is supposed to do.Very satisfied with this belt. I purchased it as part of the threesome offered. I intend to keep one in the car, one in the main family room and one in the bedroom. I purchased this to help my husband whose lack of balance is a real problem when walking and when getting up from a sitting position. He is currently getting in-home physical therapy and the Therapist who comes to the house has the same exact belt. Must be good one if a trained Therapist depends on it. 5Get it before it becomes a bad situation where you need one!My mother, who is 76 and has COPD, sat in a deck chair that was too low for her to get out of and she was by herself at the time. We were fortunate that the neighbor was out on his deck and heard her cry for help. He was able to get her up but it would have been so much easier for him (or anyone) if we had the Gate belt. It is now in a location where anyone can get to it if needed. Had no problem with seller and shipping was fast. Very satisfied. 5
