Didn't work for me!I have a small round head, I could not get it tight enough to work without having pressure on the back of my neck. It kept sliding back on my head. I tried to readjust it about 20 times. It just would not work for me. I wear an XS motorcycle helmet, just to give an approximate size reference. I really wanted it to work, I am exhausted all the time. I was absolutely not paid for nor discounted for my rating. 1Too SmallThe strap is too small and will not reach around my head without pulling it so tight that it gives me a head ache. I appears to be much better quality than the knock offs that I get from Lin Care, but what good is that if you can't use it? 1High hopesI had such high hopes for this for my husband. For some reason I had to put it on him every night. He couldn't figure it out...ever. I kind of think it's common sense. Pretty obvi to me how it goes. Initially it worked well but then when he gets into his really deep sleep he starts snoring....with this mouth closed! How, how, how did I wind up married to a man who can snore with his mouth closed? Anyway, guess its worth a try if your spouse can't snore with a closed mouth. Great price. Also for everyone who is trying to buy these products for sleep apnea, stop!!!! You will wind up killing yourself or your loved one! These are NOT to be used with sleep apnea. It's APNEA!!! This is serious. Go see a doctor. You must teat this before it causes complete heart failure. The ONLY treatment for apnea is C-pap. Accept it, use it. Love it. 3The Chin Strap eliminated my dry mouth problem and I am very satisfied!I had a problem with my mouth falling open while sleeping. This caused my mouth to get very dry, and sometimes my tongue also. By wearing the Chin Strap, it puts enough pressure on my chin to hold my mouth closed. I can still open my mouth if I need to. The Velcro on the ends of the strap allow the size to be adjusted to fit my head. Once set, I can put the Chin Strap on or take it off without having the reset the Velcro. After a week or two I wash the Chin Strap in the washing machine (at low temperature) and dry at low temperature. The Chin Strap eliminated my dry mouth problem and I am very satisfied! 5Simple to Use, Functions as advertisedI bought this soon after starting CPAP with a nose mask. I discovered quickly that I was a "mouth breather" and needed to only breath through my nose while sleeping. The chin strap adjusts easily and quickly. It is also very light. Finally, it works well with the mask headgear. My understanding is that many components of the CPAP device need to be washed frequently and replaced on a schedule as quick as 3 months. I have not had the chin strap long enough for it to wear out, but expect (based on other reviews and the durability of other components) that the strap would need to be replaced periodically.UPDATE: After using the chin strap for a while, I changed to a full face mask for increased comfort. 4Buying AgainBest chin strap I've had. Others stretch out after just weeks of wear. Some don't hold mouth closed at night. Some straps leave a dent in your head after using every night. This has wide bands, so no dents. Strong material doesn't stretch out too quickly. Stays in place with my CPAP over it, and keeps my mouth closed so air doesn't blow out all night. (Wife hates that!) First one lasted well over a year. 5I used this for a few months before getting tired of looking crazy when I slept but over all I would recommend.I have mixed feelings about this chin strap I didn't know if I was trying to smash my head down or stop snoring. Either way this alone didn't work but paired with breathe right strips I was able to keep quite. This chin strap kept my mouth close and opened my air way while the breathe right strips open my nasal passage. I used this for a few months before getting tired of looking crazy when I slept but over all I would recommend. 4OK fit at firstI thought this strap was going to solve my dry mouth problems and at first it was pretty good, but after a month or so I must say that it isnt much better than anything else I have tried. Plus it isnt all that easy to get it to fit properly. Dont think this is worth the money and am still searching for a better chin strap. 3Did not perform as advertisedNo problem with shipping and handling. I gave this product an honest try for several weeks but no matter how I adjusted it, it did not keep my mouth closed enough to prevent snoring. This was confirmed by my daughter when we spent a night in a motel on a trip...with me snoring loudly, just a little different sound due to the strap being more confining. It was not comfortable but did allow me to sleep. It got damp from saliva and sweat. It rinsed and dried OK. I read the reviews on several products like this and this one had the most reviews with a majority of them being positive. That is why I purchased it over other similar products. It may work for others but did not work for me. I purchased two of these straps since the reviews mentioned that they did not hold their elasticity for long. I won't even bother to use the second one, at least not for its intended purpose. My daughter sprained her ankle on our trip so I used it to wrap her ankle...didn't even do a good job for that but I didn't expect it too. The first four or five nights I used it, it seemed snug enough but as I had to adjust it tighter and tighter, it lost adequate support if there ever was any. A second opinion from a person awakened by my snoring sealed the doom of the product. 2Best Chin Strap I've TriedI use this chin strap with a nose pillow CPAP mask, to prevent the air blown into my nose from just coming back out of my open mouth while I sleep. I also use it on short trips when I don't take my CPAP, and it seems to help in that circumstance as well. I tried a few models, and this one works the best. It's not perfect. If I'm not super careful with how I put it on, or that it is tight enough, sometimes my mouth opens while I'm wearing it and asleep. It also gives me wicked bad bed head on top of my head that lasts all day, including after showing, so I cut my hair very short now. Used nightly they last about 6 months before the behind-the-head velcro won't stick. Washing and air drying it a couple times a week keeps it from relaxing pressure too much, but over it's lifetime, I do have to gradually tighten the over-the-head strap to keep it tight enough. 3
