It used to help...Update 10/01/2016: The first bottle of Cortisol Calm was wonderful! However, they must have changed something recently. The second bottle I ordered immediately had a stimulating effect on me, rather than a calming one. Just to make sure it wasn't just a bad bottle of it, I ordered another. Same thing. When I compared the capsules from the second and third bottles to the one capsule I had left from the very first bottle, I noticed that the contents of the capsule looked different. The one from the first bottle (which was great) was more coarsely ground. The capsules from bottles two and three were a very finely ground powder. Bummer. The first bottle really worked wonderfully for helping me finally get some much needed rest. On the search for something that works again, while wide awake at 3 am.Original review: I was hesitant to actually try this, after having a very bad reaction to another product (cortisol mgr.) that is said to lower cortisol levels, but I finally gathered the courage after trying PS 100 for a month and seeing no results. Within about a week, I am FINALLY getting a little sleep! I have high nighttime cortisol (verified), and nothing was helping until adding this to my usual nighttime mix (theanine, taurine, NAC). Thanking the heavens for this product! Nine months of 1-2 hours of sleep, if I was lucky, was wearing me down... This stuff is what finally did the trick. :) 1I found it works better than other cortisol managersBought this on a nutritionist's recommendation. I found it works better than other cortisol managers, especially when taken daily. 5This stuff is great. ApparentlyThis stuff is great. Apparently, my body produces extra cortisol and as a result, raised my blood pressure. I took it daily for months and my blood pressure reduced. I ran out and kept forgetting to buy more. Ultimately went a couple of months without and my BP went back up again. Back to taking and my blood pressure is perfect again. 5IF you need this, it s great.Ok the thing with reviewing supplements is, like any medicine, reactions and needs are individual. If you don t have high cholesterol, and you take a statin, it s not that statins are bad - it s just not for you. I d encourage other reviewers to add context to their reviews!My context is: with my doctor, we reviewed a bunch of symptoms and did some testing of my neurotransmitter and hormone levels over 24 hours. It was very apparent there was a problem with my cortisol cycles. They actually suggested I use a different supplement with similar ingredients that s marketed 2 ways - as a cortisol manager and as a sleep aid (literally the same pills under 2 different sister brands and 2 labels). But that had soy which was problematic for me. This doesn t. Or some other unnecessary fillers.This blend of ingredients helps some people with insomnia. Not the case for me. In fact at the start it amped me up a bit and I had to reduce the dose.What I did notice was, I woke up feeling ready to take on the day. I even started waking up early and thinking hey I think I ll start the day early. After I picked my long time boyfriend s jaw off the floor and convinced him I wasn t on anything illegal, I became a morning person. Eventually it became easier to shut down at night too, especially taking one before bed.It didn t solve everything on its own but it s been an important component in regulating cortisol cycles, for me. New neurotransmitter and hormone tests show a change. I m told to take a break now and then, switching to other adaptogenics, but I see this being something I use periodically, from now on. 5reliefafter trying several prescriptions that seemed to make my anxiety worse this has really done the trick 5I would highly recommend this productI have Hashimotos Thyroid auto immune and it's affected my adrenals. When my antibodies were high, often they would drop into my bloodstream and cause anxiety and the "wired/tired" affect. I am not an anxious person, so this through me for a loop. I tried several formulations to help with anxiety but they would either make me more anxious (if it had ginseng in it) and I couldn't and thankfully didn't want to take anti anxiety drugs.These were a God send. I have taken them for the last year and what a difference. My doctors done blood tests and can see my Coritsol levels are starting to calm down. I would highly recommend this product. I take one am and pm. I don't feel any drowsiness. Just helps that "restless" feeling that is beyond unnerving. 5This has really helped my cortisol spikes in the middle ...This has really helped my cortisol spikes in the middle of the night. I take it at bedtime and it helps me sleep all night without waking with palpitations. 5Great for PCOSI have PCOS so I have been using it instead of anticonceptive pill, I wanted something more natural. And it has been working great. I still have my period every 40 days, but without it I would even have a period. It is only been 3 and a half months since I started taking it. I even feel like I have more energy than I used to. I am really happy with the product. 5Calms my HPA axisThis product works. I have been going through some stressful times at work. Normally this type of situation would drive me into rumination, sweats and that inner uneasiness one feels with general anxiety. This product helps smooth out my response to stressors so that I can deal with problems rationally and calmly. 5Helps Me Sleep & Lowers Anxiety!This helps me sleep and reduces my general anxiety level. It was recommended by my therapist and now I recommend it to other people. 5
