Can t rate. Ordered by mistake.Returned the product. Ordered by mistake.5Nice productNice product5Got it.Just what I needed. Will buy more. Holds up better than some of the other brands5Quick serviceNo comment5It is really absorbantIt is the best pad I have used5Great stuffGreat for my wife who has bladder control problems5No happy with this purchasePackage coming late, and different with the picture show on.1Tried these pads as boosters for adult pull-up diapers. As a caregiver, I have bought several different brands of adult pull-ups (i.e., Depend, Tranquility, Prevail, Tena, and Surecare) and have written a few reviews on the their attributes. I recently decided to try these Prevail bladder control pads as "booster" pads for adult pull-up diapers. Booster pads are placed in the crotch of the pull-ups for at least two reasons; first, to increase the amount of liquid that can be adsorbed if there is a heavy flow or the pull-ups must be worn for an extended period or, second, to reduce the number of pull-ups used either for financial or convenience reasons. As an aside, if you are having an issue with overnight containment, then I would suggest trying the Tranquility Overnight pull-ups first before resorting to booster pads.Anyway, back to the Prevail pads...the pads are individually wrapped in a soft, "faux cloth" overwrap with a flowery imprint that is seamed and easily torn open. The pad unfolds into a 13 inch long strip that is about 3 inches wide and about a half inch thick. (This is their maximum absorbency pad, previously known as Ultra-Plus.) The pad is advertised as body shaped and designed for women. There is only a barely discernible hour glass shape to it with an elastic edge on each side of the middle. I'm not sure why, but the inside of the pad is imprinted with a flowery design. The back side of the pad (away from the skin) has a full length adhesive strip (covered with paper) for securing the pad to the crotch of the pull-up. I didn't realize that the quietness of the wrapping was an issue, but Prevail advertises the fact that the wrapping is soft and quiet for discretion. But you should note that even though the overwrap may be quiet, taking the paper off the adhesive strip can be somewhat noisy. Although I can't see the difference in the symmetrical design, the paper covering the adhesive strip indicates a front direction. The 13 inch length provides very good coverage and the pad adsorbs well. However, unlike pads designed specifically as boosters with "flow through" control, these pads limit the amount of fluid flow through the backside material when the pad is full. Accordingly, these are not a good solution for increasing the fluid capacity of the pull-up. When the Prevail pad gets full, they tend to leak around the sides rather than flowing through to the absorbent layer of the pull-up crotch. (See the comments below for further discussion on this issue.) On the other hand, if you can change the pad when it gets full, then you can greatly reduce the number of pull-ups you use and, in turn, reduce your overall cost for incontinence protection. Also, for extended wear, changing out the pad is much more convenient than replacing your pull-up each time you get wet. So I am giving a mixed review and four stars for use in booster pad applications.4ComfortThat's how I feek5Not the bestIt s too smal and they are used for bladder absorption.2
