Customer Reviews

No more ball of foot painBall of foot pain was making it tough to walk comfortably, but these have pretty much relieved the problem. They fit in my shoes without having to remove the shoe's regular insole, so I switch them between shoes, rather than sticking them to the bottom of a single pair. They give a good amount of arch support and help relieve pressure on the ball of the foot. 5Good product - great solutionThese insoles are great, made of good materials and fits perfect in case you do not have enough room on the front of the shoe (these insoles do not extend to underneath your toes), they have an adhesive surface below the heel that sticks the insole to the shoe preventing moves.I do not even realize I have them on.Easy to wear, nice look. Semi rigid arch support is made of a plastic material, it looks made of good quality plastic, hope it lasts. Metatarsal pad is very comfortable.Very recommendable product overall. 5That's it, problem solved, perfect size, perfect support, shoes went worst to first in one minute.Hey!There are few things in life that can make you more miserable than crappy ill fitting shoes. My gf just dropped a considerable chunk of change on some brand name loafers for me, while we were on holiday. I have to say in hindsight, maybe I was more in love with the brand than the fit....and when you think about it, I can name a few dress shoes in my closet that also fit that description. I can't just throw these in the back of the closet and not wear them for obvious reasons. Now I'm a male, mid thirties and chunk of change to me is around $400 to $600 and at that price you want shoes to fit as well as they look. I tried everything on these loafers: a little stretch sauce, shoe stretcher, walking around the house with big socks, and even the hairdryer made an appearance. What these shoes really need is time on my feet, but if you're like me I'm always short on time when it comes to walking around in semi-comfortable shoes.I scour my favorite store (PLUG AMAZON), and discover these lil' guys....I got the black, size US M10 and threw them in the first day I received them - BOOM! - That's it, problem solved, perfect size, perfect support, shoes went worst to first in one minute. One added benefit, is that the shoes heel was kind of digging into my achilles, but with the very slight height raise from the insert, my shoes are no longer on that sensitive bend in my foot.If you are on your feet a lot I.E. outside sales, working conventions, weddings or really dont have the time to break in new shoes....I highly recommend these. You could get spoiled by them and end up ordering for a lot more for all your shoes. 5Great quality, arch is too low for meI have high arches with plantar fasciitis so I need all the arch support I can get. Unfortunately, the arch support in these is too low for me. When compared to the Pedag Holiday they are not as high. And compared to 3/4 black Superfeet they are also lower. I had to return these and kept the other 2. 3Really helps during hikesThe year before I bought these insoles, some of my toes tingled during long hikes. On the last day of a 6 day trek, something in my toes even popped causing toe numbness that lasted weeks. Wanting to avoid this craziness, I researched and decided to try these. This year's hike - 6 days with a total of 62 up and down mountain miles - was much better with these insoles! I replaced my other Super**** insoles with these and these worked better for me. The arch support seemed similar and was definitely as effective as last years other insoles. The heel shape and targeted cushion on these was comfortable, though I had not had heel strike issues before so can't say if there is a therapeutic effect in the heel. The metatarsal bump/support at the front of these insoles made a huge difference for me. Read further for details. When I first tried "metatarsal" support, I tried the older Pedag Holiday which is the predecessor to this Viva Mini. The Holiday worked but I wanted a variety of different sizes for different hiking boots and the Holiday has been replaced by the Viva Mini. The Pedag wegbside indicated that the arch was a bit firmer in the Viva Mini, though I didn't notice that. What I did notice was the leather color is paler and slightly pink on the Viva Mini versus to more tan of the Holiday. The shapes are slightly different at the front of these insoles: the Viva Mini flares out where the Holiday was rounded at the front. Both worked for hiking boots but the flare could be in the way for narrower shoes. The front of these insoles is at the front of the ball of your foot - these insoles do not extend to underneath your toes. They help the toes, but aren't located at the toes. The edges of these insoles are very smooth and tapered so that I had no irritation where the insole ends.I still got tingling in my toes after miles of hiking, but the tingling was much milder and did not progress as it had previously. I never got the pop or prolonged numbness with these pedag insoles. While toe numbness took weeks to vanish last year (with my super**** insoles), this year my toes regained normalcy in a matter of minutes each evening once I was done hiking for the day. These insoles are still going strong without any noticeable wear - they aren't misshaped, smashed, or frayed in any way even with the punishment I've put them through. YMMV. Happy Hiking. 5Excellent for Morton's NeuromaI have reoccurring Morton's Neuroma on my left foot that had started to flare up again painfully. Due to the hot weather, cute but un-supportive sandals are the way to go, but they were killing my foot...especially since it's been sandal weather since April here in the South. When these arrived, I was really skeptical that they would be helpful...but was pleasantly surprised! For a while I forgot they were in my sandals, then it dawned on me one day that I had not had foot pain for weeks, even though I've been wearing flat sandals every day.My only complaint is that the sticky pad provided to stabilize it in your shoe/sandal is pretty crappy. Since my sandals are strappy and very open, the pad started the slip out of the back as I walked. I've since superglued the Pedag insert to the sandal and that has worked well.I'll buy another pair and glue in my regular shoes when the colder weather rolls around if I need it. 4Best orthotics everI have an array of foot issues including a broken sesamoid, a bunion and neuromas. Yes, I'm a mess, and I still put several miles of running on my feet each week. I've worn 3/4 length custom-molded orthotics for years which offer some relief for the bunion, but they don't have any metatarsal support at all, and they cost me hundreds of dollars per pair. Increasing foot pain made me think my active days were numbered... until I discovered Pedag. I really thought surgery was the only option for my left neuroma (my podiatrist said as much), but the metatarsal arch in their orthotics has completely eliminated my pain while I'm wearing them. Since discovering the wonder that is the Viva Mini, I have spent a small fortune on Pedag products including the Lady, the Drop, the Active Life kit (3 orthotics), and the T-form, but every cent has been well worth it. I've tried many varieties of Dr. Scholls, Happy Feet, and other orthotics over the years, and they don't even come close to the quality and effectiveness of Pedag. I sound like an advertisement, but I have no association with Pedag -- I'm just a complete convert. 5Good and a good valueI have 3 different orthodics being used in 3 different pairs of shoes. The best is a pair of hard plastic inserts from my podiatrist made from a mold of my feet. He has retired, and I haven't bothered to find a new doctor These are in a pair of Dan Post western boots. The second best orthodic is the Pedag Viva. It changed a pair of Western boots (BA Mason - Palamino ) from hard to wear to somewhat comfortable. I've been wearing them over 3 months nowFinally I have a pair of Doctor Scholls inserts in my Nike Air cross trainers for workout. They are an improvement over the shoes alone.Overall I find the Pedags better than the Doctor Scholls and a better value 4Just like mother used to wearI remember my mother wearing these supports when I was a kid. She switched them from shoe to shoe. When I started wearing arch supports because of plantars fasciitis and an unrepairable broken toe, I purchased the gel & the foam kind. After some disappointment, I stumbled across these supports and remember her saying how great they were. My first thought was that the 3/4 wasn't long enough however, I now like them better than the full length support because my toes have some room to move. I was also concerned with the raised support in the front of the arch. This feels great after a few minutes, but requires some getting used to when you first insert your foot into the shoe. I also learned something about arch supports which is that one support won't feel great in every pair of shoes you own. I still use the foam supports and gel supports in my sport shoes. I use the Pedag Viva Mini in my working shoes, and other Pedag products in my walking shoes. My feet also don't hurt as much when barefoot after using these supports. 4Better than prescription orthoticsI originally had this chosen for me by a local orthopedic foot store. I wear a size 10, but they recommended sizing up to an 11 or 41. I like these so much I have a pair for all my boots, shoes, slides and sandals (they don t always look great in sandals, but will work). After spending a fortune on prescription ones, I found these work best for me. They are firm, but comfortable. They don t stay stuck to your shoes, so you will need to buy double sided Velcro. Just adhere soft side inside shoes, and if you don t want to buy multiple pairs, you can switch out this way. They come in black and the color that looks almost nude in picture, however it is actually a luggage tan. There is a similar, slightly narrower style (better for dress shoes or sandals) called Holiday, but for some reason these are more comfortable for me. I have found 11/41, although a little snug in some shoes are a better fit for my foot than the 10. 5
