The Nugo Product is Great, something wrong at AmazonThe NuGo product is great. I have been buying them from Amazon for along time. But the last several boxes I havereceived dated 2019 expiration have been dry and stale. I decided to try buying directly from NuGo to see what I would get quality wise. Well it does not compare. The product is fresh like it should be from Amazon. The bars I got from NuGo were also dated 2019. So I think Amazon must have a storage problem. NuGo s price and service is also comparable. The best best thing no more stale bars to have to throw away.3great but taste different than Costco varietythese do NOT taste like the Costo variety. i was driven to buy these solely as a result of Costo not having them this month. they are still good but for whatever reason - just don't taste the same. but these bars are very forgiving on the calorie front and do a great job of staving off more serious meal time hunger. we tend to use them for this purpose; as snacks and in between workouts.4The vanilla now tastes artificialI have enjoyed this (vanilla) bar for quite a while. I had it on automatic delivery for about 1 year. They used to have a very nice strong vanilla flavor. The taste of the bars this last shipment changed. They now taste artificial and I hate them. As a personal trainer and self proclaimed health aficionado I'm always on the hunt for clean and fast snacks and these meet the mark as compared to other products on the market for their quality and taste.5Amazon works with youI personally love this flavor. It's vanilla yogurt. it's like a rice krispy treat but it's a yogurt protein bar and it's one that is not full of nuts. I used to buy them at Costco and was very sad when Costco took them off the shelf and decided not to sell them anymore but then I saw that I could buy them from Amazon and even better, I saw that I didn't have to put up with the other two flavors which were excellent but not as good to my personal likes So now, I can get what I personally like the best out of all three in the box. They are delivered to my door 1 day a month and I can choose what day I would like for them to be delivered. I also can change the amount I want for a particular month or even tell Amazon I don't want any in a particular month. It's working out better for me since Costco decided not to sell these any more. I love Nu Go Protein Bar, Vanilla Yogurt, and will continue to order them as long as Amazon sells them.5Totally inedibleUPDATE (A few days later): I realized that this isn't Amazon's fault--there's something wrong in the product. I contacted Nugo, and their customer service was extremely responsive. Apparently, there's a problem with this particular batch, and they agreed to replace my purchase for me. Hopefully, this won't happen with future product.=====I ve eaten these bars for years, purchased at the local membership club. They stopped carrying them, so I resorted to buying them online. I m very fond of the vanilla yogurt flavor, so ordered a box. It arrived quickly, along with the box of peanut butter/chocolate. Tried the pb bars first, and they were perfect: fresh, chewy, just right. Next day, tried the vanilla yogurt. These bars were like rocks. Like eating styrofoam. Contacted amazon, and they sent me a new box. These arrived the next day, and were EVEN WORSE than the first box. Like rocks. Totally inedible. break a tooth stale. I don t know the solution I d love to be able to order these from Amazon, but there s a serious inventory/freshness problem. I ll be contacting the manufacturer next. But beware I got two boxes from amazon that were inedible.1I've loved NuGo bars for years......I've always loved Chocolate NuGo bars.... for about 12 years since I discovered them. When they're fresh, they are just the right amount of chewy/crispy, the milk chocolate on top is delicious, and they're healthy! But in the last 4-5 months, every shipment I've received from Amazon has been stale or now moldy! Today I got 2 boxes in the mail that are expiring in Sept 2019 (a whole year away), but when I opened the bars, they each had green fungus growing on them! See the images attached..... I'm not sure if it's Amazons storage conditions (doubt it), or NuGo changing up their recipe or something, but the product has been disappointing the last few months. It all tastes stale and chalky...1Hard as a brickEdit: after seeing a few other reviews it s very disappointing to realize that they had a bad batch and instead of tossing them they decided to sell them and continue to try and profit off of practically inedible products. No ethics and care for quality it appears.I love NuGo bars when they re super soft and satisfying but the order i just received is literally as hard as bricks. I almost cracked my tooth thinking i can easily bite into it. It has not yet expired so I have NO IDEA what they did to these bars to make them so stale!!!1MOLD ON THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! My daughter has eaten a handful of them and called me into the kitchen today to show me that there was MOLD on the bar she had eaten half of!!!!!! Save your money and health by not purchasing this product!!!!!!!1Update: They made it right!Update: they did finally respond and sent me 2 fresh boxes! Not had an issue since.I bought these even though I m not thrilled with the ingredients because they are soooo good! I bought them many times, but the last time I bought them, I had 2 of the bars look like an ink pen exploded on them, there were blue/purple smudges all over them. I contacted the company with my concerns and they never even bothered to reply. Won t be buying them again. I ll be looking for a substitute, maybe with higher quality ingredients and hopefully better customer service!5
