Delicious!This is a great box of popcorn! The individual packet portions are enough for a big bucket of popcorn (like two people or a hungry person). The popcorn tastes like it s straight out of a movie theater too!5Good contents, bad packagingI have used a theater style popcorn popper for years and have tried every prepackaged popcorn product as well as other products. This brand is very tasty. Pops up nice. As far as product quality, the batched I received were very good and consistent. I had read the reviews concerning the leaking oil and thought it must be an unusual occurrence. That was before I received my order that was placed on my entire rug that is now destroyed because of the oil leaking out of the packaging and saturating the box it was shipped in. Of my order of 24 packs I was able to salvage 15. I had to wash every intact packet and individually put them in ziploc bags. A few showed continued, slow oil leakage. Makes me wonder if the brand name ( Nostalgia) is for the technology used to package their product. Given the number of reviews with this conplaint I assume this company doesn t read the reviews or simply doesn t care. If the latter, they obviously do not need my business. Too bad, good product, bad delivery.2This is by far the best. It is expensive but worth itIve purchased this product multiple times, as well as other brands. This is by far the best. People have complained about the mess....it's messy. It's all messy. Ive had my poporn maker for 5 years and we use multiple times weekly and the oil hasnt ruined the machine. People complained about a defective box with leaking oil. I experienced this once about a year ago and easily sent back the product through amazon and they sent a new box. I dont usually review but Ive literally ordered this over and over as well as tried other options and we eat alot of popcorn at our house so I felt obligated. :)5UNACCEPTABLE!!!When this package was delivered it was soaked in oil. When I opened the package I found that there was over 10 Packets where the oil was seeping out because the oil part of the package was damaged. This was supposed to be a Christmas present and I could not give this as a Christmas present. I will never buy these again. I wasted good money on a product that can't be used.1This is good movie-style popcornI'm quite happy with this popcorn.After we bought our 2.5oz All American Popcorn Maker, I was disappointed with over-the-counter oils, butters and toppings that promised "movie flavor" but didn't deliver. Nothing I'd popped before was even as good as microwave popcorn. Being already accustomed to disappointment I didn't expect much when I bought this Nostalgia popcorn set. But I've been pleasantly surprised with this product.Unlike other reviews, I had no leaky/messy oil bags. Although the popcorn itself isn't quite as fresh as over-the-counter, it has a yellow season which adds a lot to the flavor. I usually like salty popcorn, but I don't need to add any salt to this.The oil is a bit thicker than others I've tried, and much more aromatic making the whole house smell like good popcorn. It leaves the popcorn with a yellow color like movie corn. Although it is harder to clean off my popcorn maker, I think it's a good trade-off.The set is listed as 2.5oz portions, which would have been perfect for my 2.5oz popcorn machine. But in fact these are 5oz packages. Since we usually make 2 batches, this is a minor issue. I'm not sure if I received the wrong size, or if they are advertised incorrectly?Bottom line is that this was a good purchase.4Leaky PackagingAs others have pointed out, the popcorn tastes great and it makes measuring unnecessary. But..the last box ordered had smaller packaging and 5 of the bags were leaky. Initially I thought only one was leaking and put the rest away. A couple of days later I went to make popcorn and there was oil everywhere. I ended up having to lay out all the bags onto paper towels and a garbage bag to figure out which ones were leaking. Ended up being 5.In short, decent popcorn, but horrible packaging and inspect closely before putting it away. Save yourself an hour of cleanup.EDIT: So after getting the 5 leaky bags out of play, I put the rest away....next day come home and again there is oil EVERYWHERE. So at least one more of the oil pouches had a leak but way they were laid out didn't put enough pressure on the hole or pushed the oil in the wrong direction so it didn't leak. But when the leaky bag was put away the pressure changed or having the weight of a few bags made at least one more leak. So now they're all laid out again. I almost threw the whole thing out and still may. Really tired of cleaning up spilled oil.2Oil everywhereI haven't even used the product, but when it was delivered there was oil everywhere. 2 of the pack burst and the box was a mess and everything in it had to be washed. I will update this once we use it, but I am so disgusted with the way they packaged and delivered it, that I am not certain (unless it tastes amazing, I would ever purchase this again.1Do not buy this product for the manufacturer does not care about the proper way to seal it.I bought two of these, the first order I had a few that leaked, i didn t read the comments because I was pretty excited about the convenience of it, but it tasted kinda stale. The 2nd batch was not sealed like the first, I had stored them in a plastic container so I didn t pay attention until I used a few that oil was all over the bottom, as I took them all out most of the packets were empty of oil and I only had this batch for a few weeks. Tried to get in contact with them for a refund, not user friendly to do so. I finally read the comments and whole hardily agree, the manufacturer does not care about customer service and product quality.....too bad here to, we were using them daily....good business lost with us.1I really wanted to like thisI really wanted to like this. The 4oz size was a nice compromise and would have been a great serving size for my popper. The downside to this product: The oil is in liquid form vs. a melting gel form. Very careful handling is required when adding it to the kettle. The flavor is nowhere near as good as Great Northern brand. The popped kernels were a bit oily and left an unpleasant aftertaste. I ll be sticking to Great Northen popcorn from now on.2Pretty Chewy!I ordered this Nostalgia SP660SS 6-Quart Stainless Steel Stirring Speed Popcorn Popper along with Nostalgia KPP24 4-Ounce Premium Popcorn, Oil & Seasonings Packs - 24 Count. This was recommended for this popper. The popper works great but produced very chewy popcorn . At least the box I received is very chewy. I don't know if is the popcorn or the popper. I'll have to do some experimenting. The oil is soybean oil with butter flavoring (it is separate from the popcorn) the seasoning is mixed with the kernels so if you don't want the salt and other flavoring you'll have to sift it out. It's actually not as salty as I thought it would be. So far a great popper! I will update my review after some more trial and error! If you want crunchy popcorn this isn't it! This is chewy popcorn!3
