Okay for the priceI bought these to place on top of the changing table to change my daughter's diapers. These are impermeable, so they do the job of keeping the changing table clean, but if my daughter urinates and it lands directly on the pad, it's not absorbent enough to prevent the puddle from spreading to my daughter's back, wetting her clothes if they are not up far enough. I still think this is better in my case than spending 3x as much for something more absorbent.3Sorely disappointedI am very disappointed at these disposable pads. For the average review that they had and their description, I expected much better. My son had surgery on a pilonidal cyst, so we have been using pads under him and under a bed sheet on the sofa as a precaution. These pads are not absorbent at all. He has leaked through two pads onto the sofa more than once. I have purchased others from a pharmacy, and they were wonderful. I think a paper towel would be more absorbent than these.2love them.I run a small in home health care business....I usually buy locally but decided to try these....so totally worth the money....love them....and I am hard to please when it comes to my patients..5Open package- thin materialToday, I received my package and inside the packing was a torn open bag of chuxs (noticeably previously opened) when placed inside the packaging. 10 of the chuxs were folded facing one direction, and 10 were placed in the opposite direction and just stuffed into this unsealed open plastic bag). I would never use this product (the way received) on a human since that is unhygienic (just my opinion as a nurse). Too bad I was in urgent need to place a chux (2 at that) under my cat's litter box, but I will NEVER purchase this product again.Instead, save your money- pay a bit more and get a sealed better quality product.1FantasticI highly recommend these, time saver and no worries about washing the changing mat after mishaps. It's not often that the baby would surprise us with some extra flow but when it does it's as easy as replacing the mat. Super absorbent and did not tear.5Great for diaper bagsI hated having to bring a diaper pad because having something reusable touch the surface of those gross public changing tables and then having to put it back in my diaper bag seemed to defeat the purpose. Yes, this is probably not the most eco-friendly alternative but it works great for the occasional public diaper change!5This underpad saved a baby sheet 3 times in one day!First of all, this item really works, otherwise I wouldn't be spending time writing this review while being busy raising a newborn baby!I saw chux being used at a hospital and decided to use one at home as well after coming home with a newborn baby. The chux I received from the hospital did feel nice and was fluffy, so, I spent a lot of time looking for a similar item. Some had good reviews, others didn't, some were reasonably priced, others seem a bit expensive for daily use. I chose this NorthShore item based on relatively good reviews. I couldn't decide between "economy" and "premium" for a while, but, after checking the weight of the hospital chux myself, which was 6oz, I decided to try economy first. I'm happy to know that economy is just fine!This chux feels smooth and soft. It is not thick or fluffy, but, it does the job! It is actually good that it is not thick, so that it can be placed over a sheet or a towel and it won't be too fluffy. Also, I noticed from trying a few different types of chux from the hospital that a thick or fluffy chux tend to crumble after a day or so from being rubbed.My baby had a few accidents during diaper change. All the liquid was caught inside this NorthShore underpads and the sheet underneath was fine! I had a few times of failure with the hospital chux when it comes to absorbing liquid, so, I was very pleasantly surprised! I highly recommend people reading this review to give this product a try. I will be buying again once my supply runs out.5Latest shipment pads are not 17 x 24. They are 17 x 19What s going with this Product: NorthShore Economy 17 x 24 under pads pack/70. Not even a 1 STAR RATING1Did not meet expectationsThese did not meet my expectations. They weren't as absorbent as others I've used, and they didn't hold moisture inside the pad very well when picked up off the bed or chair. I suppose they're better than nothing at all, but are inappropriate for anyone with incontinence (as opposed to minor leaks).The Hillmore Health brand was the best I found here, but is no longer carried on Amazon. I'll keep looking, because these North Shore pads definitelye not a good replacement.1
