not wearing any ear plugs while sleeping at all never againI don't know about you but when I wear them I can't hear the outside but I can hear inside of my head I don't know why, it's weird and I get a headache after a while, it's like heartbeats inside of my head I rather 100% listen to my window AC then listen to this, and some high pitch noises ,coming and going from different directions it's like a nightmare, I am giving it three stars because I don't think it's the products fault. 3Eh?I bought these to knock down the wind noise in my motorcycle helmet. They do the trick nicely...I can't imagine riding without these now.Edit: I've been using these for over a year now and am ordering my second box. I have found that I can re-use these several times...until they get dirty. Also, on my moto, while the wind noise from my helmet is almost totally gone, I can still hear car horns, and public safety sirens. I have also implemented a Bluetooth helmet system and can clearly hear both music and phone calls if my speakers are mounted directly across from my ear canal. These are great...and comfortable for all day motorcycling. 5It's cheap, works well and quite durable.I've used 10 pairs of Mack's ultra soft foam (new design) and I have pretty small ears, so I'll base out my review with comparison to Mack's. Compared to the Mack's ultra soft foam earplugs, these are tad slight bigger (very small difference). These last way longer (I use them for 7 days each pair, but they can last way longer). They are definitely more comfortable because they are easier to insert deeper as they do not inflate as fast as Mack's. Mack's usually last about 3~4 days before drying out and they just inflate too fast to insert when dried out. Also, when Mack's dry out, it doesn't block as much sound as new pairs. However, Moldex earplugs even after a week of every night use are good as new. Just make sure to keep them in an air-sealed container when not in use, so they don't dry out. A 200-pair box can last you 2.6 years (7 day use for each pair) assuming you store them in an air-sealed box somewhere to prevent them from drying out. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for cheap and durable earplugs.If anyone is curious on how much you can hear, you can faintly hear if someone is speaking loud right beside you. No noise from conversation outside a room even with door open. Once you using earplugs, you just can't sleep without them. Sound of silence has never been this good. It's too worth it to miss out on a good night's sleep. 5Comfortable and indispensableI have to wear them practically every day, all day. At work, I use them to filter out the constant noise of environment so I can get coding projects done. I even hand them out to coworkers. At night, I wear them so I can sleep through traffic blaring rap music and my fiancee snoring her darnedest.These gems have saved my work-life and my relationship as well.Comfortable and indispensable. 5Decent Earplugs, With A CatchWe purchased these earplugs because we go shooting quite a bit and didn't want to continually buy earplugs at the range. We've used them for quite some time now and can say that they work really well. They are comfortable, easy to use, and block sound really well. The only drawback is that they don't do well if you need to remove them, then re-insert them (like when taking a quick break, needing to talk with someone, etc). They don't seem to rebound well on the second use. I'm not sure why this is. We have used a different brand in the past and those didn't seem to have this problem. We typically need to wait a little longer before they expand to fill the ear canal, or simply use another set if we're in a hurry. It's not a huge deal as we purchased so many, but just something to take note of if you plan on removing and re-inserting them during a day of use. 4No More Body Slamming Noises!My upstairs neighbor recently got a new boyfriend, which meant I had to listen to their bodies slam together numerous nights each week. I might be more entertained if the activity wasn t so vanilla, but the same thing on the daily got old, fast. As if this wasn t uncomfortable enough, it would happen at all hours of the night, keeping me awake and shuttering in utter discomfort. These completely blocked out the noise and allowed me to get a restful night s sleep again. Cheers to not having to listen to my neighbors pitiful sex lives. 5Stop buying crappy products!!!!I bought a sample pack of these and they worked great. Then i purchased a box of 200 pairs and they are completely different. They look the same, but what counts in earplugs is the DENSITY. The sample pack i ORDERED were nice and DENSE and blocked noise well. The 200 pairs box i bought afterwards are soft and mushy and do not block the noise half as well. I dont think this is just a matter of quality control.. I purchase a lot of products through Amazon and the internet. This is a typical thing that manufacturers do. Once a product starts to sell well they look for ways to make them cheaper and cheaper. I use to purchase Flents earplugs and they were great. Same thing happened they started making there earplugs softer and mushy. I get it less product and charging same price equals more profit, is the American way, or should I say Chinese, no I meant Vietminese, or is it Korean. I just dont understand why companies are unwilling to make great products and maintain quality control. PEOPLE WILL PAY MORE FOR QUALITY PRODUCTS! In closing consumers as a whole should complain more and stop buying crappy products! 1They sent me the different one and it's horribleI've bought this 2 times. The first purchase was amazing, it worked great, I couldn't even hear anything, and my bedroom apartment was located near the parking lot. Then i bought the second box, they sent me the different one. I noticed it has different color, but i thought they might renew it. In fact, it really is different ear plug. Doesn't work the same. It hurt my ear, and I can still hear sound clearly. I really hope they could be consistent, 'cause I love my first purchase. 1Best brand everby far the best hearing protectors I have ever used. I was turned on to them when our Fire Department issued them for protection from our loud heavy rescue equipment. I use them for everything from sleeping to block out spouses loud snoring, barking dogs, howling coyotes, back up alarms of heavy construction trucks, train noises, shooting practice. When I use them for sleep, I hear nothing not even my own heartbeat. they are soft and slowly form to the ear cannal snuggly but not noticeable when sleeping, I forget I have them on. They are by far the best brand I have ever used, I have tried dozens in the past. I will only use these now. I love how they are wrapped individually pairs so I can keep them in my pocket and have them ready when ever. They are great on jet planes and long travel trips, Great to sleep in hotel rooms with loud parties going on next door. 5Sleeping Well Once AgainFor all of you that may be struggling for a great earplug after Hearos Xtreme turned their product into a bulbous blue slug, the Moldex 6800 is the answer! It easily matches (and probably exceeds) the sound deadening capability of the original Hearos Xtreme and is even easier to insert in the ear canal since it holds its compressed shape longer . The dimensions of the Moldex plug are a touch slimmer than both the old and new Hearos and a little longer but I have had zero problems with ear pain either while inserting the plug or wearing it for 8 hours each night.I tried two other brands of earplugs before I found the Moldex 6800 and neither worked very well. I'm an incredibly light sleeper when it comes to noise so the Hearos Xtreme( original) was my go to earplug for the last 10 years or so. With the Moldex 6800, I am sleeping blissfully once again!! 5
