Super flavorI have always bought Starbucks French Roast.....my husband wanted nothing else. He was looking for that strong cup of coffee to start his day.. I bought McCafe French Roast at my grocery story on sale a few weeks ago and he thought this was so much better than the Starbucks. I got 84 for $39.95. Super Amazon deal. This is great coffee. Not the after bunt taste that you get with Starbucks French Roast. You need to give it a try for sure. I think you might switch as well.5I'm no coffee snob, so here's my 2-cents...I may not be a coffee snob, but I do know what bad coffee tastes like. I've tried a few different types and I can honestly say I like more than I dislike. I happened to find this coffee at a decent price and I'm not disappointed at all. I use my middle setting for a not-too-strong cup, yet not too weak. I'm a one cream, one sugar kinda guy. Once it's all mixed, I thoroughly enjoy this coffee. I will likely buy it again5Good French RoastGood smooth French Roast smoother than the Amazon Brand though maybe not quite as strong. For the price very happy with both/either. Still however the king for taste is San Francisco brand French Roast and it saves resources by not having a plastic bottom. But with rare exceptions is quite more expensive.4Just OkayI found this coffee for a great price and I was very excited to try it. However, I'm a little disappointed with the taste of this coffee. With this being a dark roast, I was expecting a much more bold and flavorful coffee than this turned out to be.3McCafe was my favorite and the only coffee I drankMcCafe Premium Roast was my favorite and the only coffee I drank. Then tried this French Dark Roast, many of the French Roast I have tried before had a, for a better description "burnt taste", this one is good and strong with a very nice smooth taste. I alternate between the Premium and the French Roast Dark Roast. In my option the two best coffees on the market, bar none.4Great Dark French Roasted Coffee McCafeJust a really great tasting Coffee that you can enjoy from home, No more standing in line, Simply place the k-cup pod in K-Cup brewer, add Cream & Sugar if you like. The McCafe French Roast "DARK" is great tasting, 84 K-cup per Box, Coffee arrived fresh, No Issues at all Love it.5Very weak and lacking full bodied dark roast flavorFor a French Roast, these McCafe K-Cups come up short, vis- -vis strength. As a basis of comparison, San Francisco Bay Gourmet Coffee, French Roast, are far superior from both a flavor and boldness reference point. I ve got 83 of the McCafe pods to consume, at which point I ll circle back to San Francisco Bay brand.2Cancelled SubscriptionI was very disappointed my first cup. Tried a second cup just to be fair. Nope. Tasteless. No flavor, rich, dark, roasted, French or otherwise. It was smooth with no bitterness. Looked good. I would not serve this to guests. Now I'm stuck with the da~n things until I buy new ones.2Very strong flavorI was looking for something with more flavor. This definitely has it. Close to espresso. I like coffee, but this requires a sweetener and a little milk for me. Actually I prefer an espresso because it is usually smoother flavor and less bight. Try it, you might like it. It's just a little different than you might expect.4It s OkayHave consumed McCafe French roast a few years now, with periodic/occasional swap for the starry competitor. Recently however, after a swap for the pricey stuff, this most recent box of Mc-k cups is not very appealing at all. It has lost it s magic for me. I am now going to spend a bit more $$ and cancel my subscribe & save on this.4
