I won't wear any other earplugsThese are, hands down, the best earplugs--no comparison! They block a ton of noise, and they're clear, so you're not screaming "hey, I've got orange earplugs in!" if you wear them to a concert, or a wedding reception... (yeah, I've done that, and I'm always so thankful that my ears aren't ringing the next morning). I also wear them to bed every night--without exception, unless I fall asleep somehow and forget--and they entirely block out the snoring husband BUT still allow me to hear my alarm, the burglar alarm, etc.Confession: I do put them into the ear canal somewhat, but I never have any trouble getting them out. I also break each one into two pieces because I find them a bit big.In sum, these are the best earplugs. Highly, highly recommended! 5Excellent at Blocking Snore SoundsAfter 10 months of using these silicone earplugs, I am still super happy at how well they cut the worst of my husband's snoring decibels! I learned they work best when allowed to warm up a tad sitting in the ear before compressing to the edges of the ear to form a sound barrier around all the edges. They are very comfortable all night long versus the foam insert ear plugs that leave the ear canal area sore after hours of laying pillow side down on the ear with the foam plug. The down side is 1) not convenient to remove if someone walks into the room to talk (unlike the foam plugs or over-ear gun range muffs I also use to block hubby's snoring), and 2) they block sound so well that I would not recommend using if someone is solely responsible for the care of another human in the house (as will not be able to hear them randomly about the house when laying in the bedroom). 5These are the best earplugs I have found so farThese are the best earplugs I have found so far. I've tried various versions of foam plugs, but they just end up falling out or hurting. Plus, I can still hear my boyfriend's snoring through them! With these silicone plugs, they are much more comfortable, don't fall out, and it blocks his snoring about 80% of the time. I'm definitely sleeping better. The only downside is that my hair gets stuck to them :-/ 4OUTSTANDING! AND SAFE!OUTSTANDING. AND SAFE! I was sick for a while and had to take naps during the day. I have two LOUD kids. I was originally using the foamy kind of ear plugs that you roll between your fingers and inserting them into my ear. After about a month's duration (yes, I was sick that long), my ear was clogged. I didn't attribute it to the ear plugs; I thought it was another symptom of my virus. The doctor told me ear wax had built up and clogged my ear. I immediately thought I had "dirty" ears or too much ear wax, but she said we all have ear wax that drains naturally WHEN THE EAR CANAL IS NOT BLOCKED. Apparently, those foamy plugs wouldn't let my ear drain the wax out naturally, as we all do and don't realize. I had to get something that did not go INTO my ear. These are outstanding. I cannot hear most noise, the same amount of deafening of noise as the foam ones, but safer! 5Good earplugs for people not generally comfortable with "standard" foam earplugs.I really can't stand earplugs, but these ones work without bothering me much. They block out more noise than the rating would indicate. These are rated at 22db reduction, but they block more sound than my wife's earplugs, which are Hearos foam ones rated at 32db. Maybe it's an individual thing. My ear canal seems weird and I have a hard time getting a full seal on the Hearos. Since these are basically molded silicone putty, you can just press them up against the ear and squish it around for full coverage and get a good seal.They're so effective that I nearly slept through my alarm once, which was turned all the way up and within two or three feet of my head.Minus one star because they're still basically disposable, and they tend to collect lint from your pillow over time. Not much to be done for that, but it's a slight drawback. 4Amazing!For 8 years I've lived in the same apartment and it was always pretty darn quiet. But in the last year due to some changes in neighbors that has unfortunately ended. I tried using the standard foam earplugs but found they would make the inside of my ear ache terribly. These are wonderful as they do not go into your ear. Although I do 'slightly' push them in. But if you do that, just make sure you follow instructions for removing them so as to not leave any little bits of it inside your ears.And not only do they keep my ears from physically hurting, but also block out pretty much all noise. The only negative I would comment on is that the little baby hairs around your ears (ladies) may get stuck on them and you have to GENTLY pull them off. You could try wearing a soft headband to keep those back though. 5I've tried them all and these are the bestThe neighbor above is really active at the wee hours of night and purposely makes trouble by walking around in her heels when I've asked her not to. I ordered all the highly rated earplugs based on Amazon reviews and these are the only ones that cancel out most noises. In fact, the first time I wore them I was able to sleep through the night!!!!!! I didn't even wake up to my BF making breakfast in the morning. I'm so happy that I can finally sleep through the night again!!!!!!!!! 5You will sleep but will lose a few hairsLikes:-Can sleep most of the night without the snoring waking me up too much...saved my relationship-can get a few nights use of of a pair before they get all linty-I am the only one who slept right through the insane storm we apparently had while campingDislikes:-sometimes the heat/earwax forces one to fall out mid sleep and it s no fun playing where s the ear plug in the middle of the night-your ears are...wet by morning-hair does get stuck in them and pulling it free can hurtBeing able to sleep next to my partner beats all the cons so I ll keep ordering these! 5These are the ultimate swim ear protectorsYep- They work better than all those other plugs that are either uncomfortable, don't fit right, hurt your ears, fall out or just aren't watertight.The only problem I find is that the instructions always warn you against rolling them into a narrow tube shape. (They probably do that so they won't be sued or something. Whatever the reason, I have found these fit better and work better if you take off each silicone plug and then shape them the "wrong" way which is roll them so they kind of "screw" into your ears.THAT makes for a great perfect seal, no matter what they tell you on the instructions. :) 4These Are The Best For Sleeping With A Snorer Period!I have had many years of trying to fall asleep and stay sleeping with all the usual problems from noise - especially from my partner SNORING like a freight train! I have tried every kind of earplug there is that has a high rating on Amazon. No, really. I have tried all of them! I spent $75 bucks buying every one of the top rated earplugs on Amazon and have tried them all out. MACKS PILLOW SOFT SILICONE EARPLUGS ARE THE BEST FOR SLEEPING WITH A SNORER PERIOD!The best ones I found were Flents Ear Stopples SoftWax/Cotten; Howard Leight MAX; Ohropax; Bio Ears with Microban; and "World's Finest Natural Ear Plugs." None of them work as well or fit as well as MACKS. PERIOD. They have various kinds of problems among them such as letting in noise, not staying put, being too hard to conform to your ears, etc.Yes, I know some people have commented that they can get dirty and feel a little sticky. Well they work better BECAUSE they are a little sticky so they stay in place and don't develop a gap during the night when you move your head and let the noise in. If you keep them in the container they came in instead of sitting them out then they won't pick up dust.A close second would be the Worlds Finest Earplugs that are made out of essentially the same kind of material - silicone. But they are not as pliable as MACKS and not quite as tacky so they start out good but then in the middle of the night they let in some noise around the edges.No, I don't work for MACKS or have anything to do with them or gain from sales or own any stock. I'm just writing this to help other people who have suffered through years of not being able to sleep through SNORING. THESE THINGS WORK!!!!!!! :):):) 5
