Variety Pack = Peanut ButterNever shop when you're hungry. Was in a hurry and wanted to order some snacks. These looked like a fair price on a variety pack of different flavors. I should've looked closer, because 4 out of 5 of the flavors are peanut butter. I like peanut butter, but I just assumed a variety pack would have, you know, a little variety.1The Good, Bad, and Overall...The Good: Nice little variety pack. Purchased for Dad (80) on his Subscribe and Save delivery. He really enjoys them as they are just the right amount.The Bad: Some duplicates. It may have been another brand but years ago I remember seeing Jalapeno (PepperJack) in the variety pack. Would make this pack a huge hit if they took out one of the duplicates and tossed in something for the heat lovers.Overall: It's a fair price for delivery to his door each month. Subscribe and Save makes it a better value to boot. I do Subscribe and Save for both parents and they enjoy having a box (sometimes of mystery) appear on their doorstep each month. He's happy so I'm happy.4Expired in a week!We order these for the diabetic patients in our clinic. While they are great for that purpose, the package that arrived at the very end of January had an expiration date of February 5th (today). While we are a busy clinic, even we don't get enough patients in a single business week to get through the entire package, and we cannot legally serve expired crackers to our patients, so they will just be tossed at the end of the day today. It's a shame, but I wish expiration dates were more closely scrutinized before shipment.3BEWARE! Soon-to-be-expired item and "This item isn't eligible for return"Just received the product today(3/26), with expiration date Jun012019, Jun082019 and May182019. It's a soon-to-be-expired item but when I tried to request return for my order, I got a message of "This item isn't eligible for return" and couldn't return it! Guess I'll have to keep it. Not happy! I see butters all smeared out from crackers, inside package...1Once the Nekots Finally Got Here, They Are A Good SnackLance Nekot (Token spelled backwards) cookies seem to have an almost cult like following, similar to Krispy Kreme doughnuts, partly because they are nostalgic (like Krispy Kremes), and partly because they were a regional item in the southeast (like Krispy Kreme) and weren't always easy to find in other parts of the country. Lance was (is) located in Charlotte, NC until 2013 when they merged with Snyders. Lance-Snyders is owned by Campbell's, so between the marketing and distribution strength of Campbells and Amazon, Nekots are easier to get a hold of these days outside of the southeast, either in convenience stores or on Amazon.My first order of both peanut butter and lemon Nekots made it as far as Denver, and somewhere between Denver and Colorado Springs were...lost. Just. Lost.I got a full refund for the lost order , and then tried again, ordering (again) both peanut butter and lemon Nekots. This time, they were shipped from Tennessee and, somehow, ended up in Houston, rather than Denver. UPS then reassigned another tracking number to the items and eventually got them to my front door several days late. Whew! What a hassle!Once I finally got the items, I can now enjoy the peanut butter and lemon Nekots. Think of them as a cross between a traditional cracker and a cookie. Sweeter than a cracker, but not as sweet as a cookie. Somewhere in between. I'm glad I finally got them.I'm giving this 3 stars instead of 5 because of the shipping drama. It shouldn't take two attempts to ship cookies (cookies!) to the right address, not in this day and age with the internet and electronic tracking. I mean, come on!3misleadingOrdered from a 3rd party seller, as it was the only option. Item was, literally in their box and all, dropshipped from the "other" big box store, and only one box of 20 packs, not a case of six boxes of 20 as advertised. Seller took the return and refunded purchase without issue, but still a waste of time & pretty ridiculous for some of these third party sellers trying to pull that bait & switch. Who would pay 25 bucks for a 5 dollar pack of crackers? I like them, but not that much. I just ordered the item from the "other" place. I'd verify with seller what they're going to actually send you before wasting your time like I did.1Delicious, but watch out for crumbsBetter than your average cracker! The Toast Chee (orange squares) are very crumbly, and can make a mess on your sofa, but are very tasty. The Toasty (yellow circle) are less messy, and also delicious.5Unless you like to smash your crackers before you eat them don t buy these.Basically what I got was a box of crumbs. The contents were good and fresh but most of them were wasted. Trying to get crumbs out of the plastic wrapping usually amounted them all over the table and floor.1
