Cannot wash wellI got this pad for my knee roller. Broken ankle, 8 weeks in cast, 3 weeks in. My knee and shin are developing sores even with the pad. Pad has made it bearable. I am cooking, cleaning, caring for myself, live alone, so pad is getting a lot of use and got grimy. I put all in washer as directed, let sit overnight to dry as directed. Next day pad getting my knee and cast wet. Not an option. Pad still looked really dirty.Last night I cut a slit under pad material. Slid pad out. Put cover in a delicates bag and washed.Came completely clean. Looks a lot better. Stuffed pad back in.This is a design flaw. There should be a zipper, velcro, something to take that pad out and then wash cover.Just be aware if purchasing, you may have to modify as well. Why I gave 3 stars. All else about pad great3Makes the knee scooter much more comfortableI had foot surgery and needed a cushion to make my All Terrain KneeRover scooter more comfortable. I read a lot of reviews and decided on this cushion. I ve been using the knee scooter for over 2 weeks now and this cushion has made it so much more comfortable. I can t imagine using the knee scooter without it because the scooter knee pad is just too hard. This fits the scooter perfectly. I only wish it came in a color other than white since it does get a bit dirty. It s washable, which is good. I am overall happy I made this purchase.5Soft comfy knee cushionThis cushion has been pretty good so far. I have been using it approximately a week, and it s holding up well. My chief complaint is that is slides a little, despite fitting snug and correctly. Essentially, it has to be straightened out/centered once a day. In my opinion, that s a small price to pay for the comfort.It does have a good thickness to it, so I had to adjust the scooter a bit to accommodate my height. It also dries quickly if it gets wet.4Not for a plaster cast!I am a memory foam lover. So I should have just purchased the memory foam pad to begin with, but was afraid it would lose its memory from all the pressure. So I bought this thinking regular foam might be better in this situation. Nope. It is very comfy foam and the material is very soft, but because your knee cap pushes in so hard, it raises the foam around it. So this pushed up on the rest of my leg and on my cast, which hurt. It may be better with a walking boot, but I've since purchased another pad from the same company that is memory foam and much prefer that one, so I won't be trying this one with a walking boot. The soft material also seemed to shed a good bit from the little bit I used it. And since I'm a neat freak and can't clean right now, I don't think I'd like that long term. I also didn't like that this was off white. It seemed like the best rated, most reasonably priced option, so I sucked that part up when I purchased it. So this one just wasn't for me.2Made all the difference! Very supportive and comfortable!I ruptured my Achilles tendon 4 weeks ago, and had surgery 3 weeks ago. I ordered a knee scooter immediately, to be able to move around, and crutches didn't do it for me. I need to be able to be outside and get fresh air, and on crutches that's not going to be enough and also moving around in the house being able to move around freely. All that was working well until I realized my knee was taking a beating, because the pad on the scooter is not giving much cushion or support. Looked at different options of pads for support and I'm happy that I picked this one. The first week was an absolute joy using the scooter with the pad, I could be outside for 30-40 minutes and the knee and leg felt awesome.After a week I noticed that my pad was starting to give and make a dent where my knee is and the support was not there in the same way. I contacted the seller who immediately sent me a new one!! That's five star customer service right there. Don't really know what happened with the first pad, I took it off and didn't use it for a few days, and it seem to reshape a little. The new one arrived, and I'm able to be on the scooter without hurting my knee. This is the pad to go for, it makes it very comfortable!!5This cushion made it so much more comfortable to useI had to use a knee scooter due to tendinitis in my left foot, my knee was getting a little sore after a few days. This cushion made it so much more comfortable to use, it will take a few days to get molded so that it doesn't slip around so be careful. Would highly recommend to anyone that has to use a knee scooter!!!5Got a knee scooter? You MUST have this cushion to save your knee and shin!After foot surgery recently, I purchased a knee scooter on Amazon that had a very hard and uncomfortable pad. To save my knee and shin, I first ordered a Vive Knee Walker Pad Cover. BIG mistake! That thing flattened out almost immediately every time I put my leg on the scooter. It was no different than without it on there, and I've developed some nasty pain in my shin/knee.After requesting a refund on that model, I ordered this Walker cushion and it came in today. Talk about night and day! This cushion doesn't flatten out all the way when I rest my leg on it, and it expands back almost immediately when I lift my leg up. This is exactly how a cushion should function. It's much better on my leg, though I'm still sore from that piece of junk I had previously. I'm certain the Walker cushion will be the answer to my problem.The only issue I can think of is the cover of this cushion getting dirty easy from skin oil and other substances. I'll post an update after I've been on it for a while. In the meantime, don't mess around like I did. Get this cover! It will save your leg from terrible pain!5Without this, my scooter would have been worthless to me.I love my scooter and the mobility it gives me. However, I have very bony knees that make it nearly impossible to kneel under most circumstances. But with foot surgery pending, I needed a way to get around while I was non-weight bearing. This made a world of difference! By adding this to my scooter, I could kneel in comfort and focus on the mechanics of getting around. At one point I fell and bruised said knee, so I added a couple more pieces of foam beneath this cover and it not only stayed secure but helped me over that injury. It easily fits over the scooter platform and the strong but stretchy elastic gathered securely around the bottom of the platform.My only CON is that the cover is a plushy, white, fake fur. This will become matted from contact with bandages and casts and begin to look grimy, too. But since I cannot use my scooter without it and the foam is sown into the fabric cover, it is not a simple matter of washing it. I have no idea who long it will take to dry and cannot be without my scooter for hours. I will likely make a cover for the cover before my next surgery.If you like your knees, I recommend adding this to your scooter! I am so glad I did.5Just what you need w/ a knee scooterSpent 7 weeks on a knee scooter after ankle surgery. This was THE best purchase I'd made in preparation for that time. I'm 5'11", and the traditional split seat on the scooter couldn't comfortably accommodate the cast or boot. Not only did this little beauty eliminate the split, it provided the much needed comfort my poor knee needed to survive my travels. If you're scheduled for foot/ankle surgery, and you know you'll be on a scooter for any period of time...BUY THIS CUSHION - you won't be sorry.5Poor Cover MaterialThis pad is overall a decent purchase but not for the price. The foam is good, it fits nicely and securely on the scooter however the material is not durable. The material is soft but after only 2 weeks is showing significant signs of wear such as pilling, matting, thinning and is not washable. I will be using my scooter for 7 weeks and would say that its possible I would go through 2 of these pads. A high cotton thread count material would likely be more durable and it would be nice if there were a way to remove the foam to wash the cover.3
