Highly recommend this quality tapeI tried another tape & was not only disappointed by the fact the tape would not stay on and started to came loose almost immediately (rolled away from skin putting jeans on right after applying tape), but the adhesive burned my skin. I do not have sensitive skin. Kinesio Tex Classic is the tape used by my doc, so I purchased this & threw the other in the trash. I've experienced no burning or skin reactions to the adhesive, this tape remains in place for days (even after a hot tub soak), and does the job. I recommend this tape and will purchase it again. 5Decent, but not the best for feetI love kinesio tape, and with perpetually sprained ankles, I use it a lot. When I ran out of my old tape (purchased in Germany, couldn't find it online), I ordered this on Amazon.Good:- Strong tape- Good flexibility; not too loose or too tight- Easy to tear backing without stretching the tape itself (makes it easier to apply)- Probably most important--IT WORKS. If you are reluctant to buy kinesio tape at all, just order one role and try it out. It is definitely worth the cost for the almost immediate relief. (However, I should also point out that it's best to have a doctor or chiropracter do your first few applications, so you know exactly where the tape is supposed to be placed on your injury. Some people will even tell you that ONLY a doctor or chiropractor should apply this, but those people are probably made of money as well.)Bad:- If you want to use this on your feet, and you shower at least once a day, it won't last as long as it claims. I purposely ordered the water resistent tape because it was supposed to be better for use on feet, but it only lasts 2-3 days before I need to change it. The other tape I was using would last for 5-6.Overall, good kinesio tape, but I will keep looking for a better water-resistent variety. 4usu good, but Amazon gave me bad, old tapeI think Amazon store this tape in a warehouse somewhere. Usu, the orders are good, but for the last order, the tape really kept falling apart within a day. Usu, the tape adheres to my leg for 5 days at a time or so, but the last order's tape could barely last a day (thru a shower). So, it was almost useless. Amazon should really check to make sure that they don't store these tapes for too long, have the adhesion lose staying power, and then actually deliver them to people. It would be a waste of money and cheat the customer, especially one that actually really needs the tape to recover from an injury. 2My therapist recommended me this tape and she liked how it was ...My therapist recommended me this tape and she liked how it was helping with my baby's hyper extension of the elbow. Unfortunately I decided to discontinue use because taking it off his skin hurt him so much, imagine taking off a really long, really difficult to take off bandaid. I tried soaking it completely in his bath before removals but he would still be in pain, his arms would stay red for a long time after removal and he got little bumps that would remain for a day after removal. 3The best KT tape I've triedI am probably one of the most skeptical people I know and when KT started getting popular I just chalked it up to another rehab fad. However, my chiropractor recently wrapped my arm for my severe, excruciating tendonitis (I have "diaper" elbow -- seriously) and I was shocked at how quickly it worked to eleviate the pain. It's not like a magic bullet that instantly heals, but whenever I don't have my arm KT'd up, it aches fiercely. With it on, I don't have any resting pain. Of course, whenever I overuse that area, I still feel the tendonitis but at least I get some relief. I also just tried it on my knee that I've always had problems with stemming from an injury over 10 years ago. Since I turned 40 I haven't been able to walk more than 1/2 a mile without swelling and pain. The other day I walked over a mile and never had a twinge of pain during my walk or any swelling after. Yes, it's expensive but this stuff really works for me.I've tried two other brands and even with prepping my arm with alcohol they would start to come off within a few hours. I can usually get a good 3 days with Kinesio Tex Gold. I haven't tried showering with it on to see if it holds up to that but I'm quite happy with it even it it doesn't hold up to water. And I love that it comes in beige, which camouflages the injury better than other colors, so I'm not always having to answer all the "what happened to your arm?" questions.It may not be helpful for every injury but give it a try if you've got a recurring tendon/muscle type injury and see if it works for you. You might be as surprised as I was! 5Good TapeI find this Kinesio tex gold tape to work much better then K-tape. K-tape is pre-cut which doesn't leave you a lot of options. Kinesio tex gold is not pre-cut so you can choose the length you want. It also sticks to your skin much better then K-tape.Remember to clean the area with alcohol to remove any oils from your skin before you tape. This might sound insane but my chiropractor's office sold me a liquid that is intended for use in your mouth that acts as a very strong glue to hold the Kinesio tape on for DAYS. The brand is Humco. It's called Benzoin Tincture oral mucosal protectant. If I apply this liquid BEFORE I put the tape on, it will stay on for a full 5-6 days! Otherwise it starts to peel in 2-3 days. The liquid glue-type bottle lasts forever too. I use a q-tip to apply. I have been using a 2 oz bottle for at least 6 months. 4It gave me pain stop very efficientlyFrom my work style, I always work with PC. I always have a stiff neck, shoulder, some parts of back, and stomach pain from my posture. I used to use oitment cream like Peppermint or Arnia bases. These stopped my pain, but the pain comes back a few hours later. I read a book about this Kinesio tape in Japan. Some Kinesiologist uses this tape for not only pain killer but also diet -purpose. I put this tape on my stomach, and legs, and other accupressure points. They are actually working. I also have a detailed Shiatsu and accupressure points which I purchased at Japanese bookstore. Besed on the theories of Shiatsu and accupressure points, they are working much better than pain killer cream or tablet. I wishI knew about this tape much earlier. Then I worked much harder and longer. I would recommend this tape. This is also very strong against water. I take a shower, but they are still not removed from my body a lot of time. 5Excellent MaterialIve bought these for one reason, my blisters in my toe. I play soccer and always had problems on blisters up to the point of cherry looking internal bleeding blister conditions of intensive soccer sessions. These were intended for muscle support and kinetic movements but trying ALL Sorts of ways from sock ventilation, cotton moisture and what not, nylon/polyester percentages, standard athletic white cotton socks, dual soccks in which all have failed because soccer sock market is complete failure in quality and even figured the internal sole support called Superfeet which has helped me, has cause major undiscovered under toe blisters because of its ridiculous grit-paper material on the green models. Had to cut my original internal soles and combined it with my Superfeet for soft toe cushion yet not losing the arch support on the mid end. But these absolutely are a life save, after trying on vaseline, feet talc and some duct tape wrapped twice, they all failed, duct tape would slip out and cause major sweat toe disaster with gooey mess. What helped me on these is that the adhesiveness on these are pure awesomeness. Especially if you wrap these and let the tape overlap each other about half inch, on its own cotton material it would surpass adhesiveness like never before, instant lock. Since their stretchy, I would stretch them about 50% percent for snug wrap for them not to slip, adding on top the adhesiveness guarantee. The removable paper has about 2x2 cut outs for reference, cut snips of 2x4 and then cut them by half, long wise for toe measurements i found to be ideal. Never tried these as intended, nor I would want to because it would assume my injury, not something everybody would like. I would post some images for cutting measurements. Please leave any commentary under this if this has been a problem for you. 5Kinesio tape works great on my chest truncal lymphedemaKinesio tape totally improved my chest / truncal lymphedema. I had a relatively minor case, but it was bothering me and I've been working very hard to get the swelling down. My breast was hard and swollen - I have tried MLD, herbal supplements, etc and nothing has gotten the swelling under control.My chiropractor put kinesio tape on my breast and chest area and it is amazing how much better it feels. The swelling is way down and the hardness and thickness is much reduced. He is putting this on me once a week with two pieces - one from my breast up toward my collar bone and one piece from my breast across to my right side chest. If you are suffering from lymphedema and haven't tried kinesio tape, I would highly recommend it!Some tips if you are not going to an expert to get this applied:* The adhesive is heat-activated. So to get it to stick well, you need to rub the tape on the skin a bit. I can get it to stay on for a week.* Cut the tape so that each piece has a solid area at one end and then four little strips on the other end where the lymphedema is.* Place the solid end at the terminus point and then stretch each little piece down and across the area. Make sure to rub each strip so that it stays attached. 5Plantar Fasciitis - OK But Not My PreferenceThis product provided sufficient support for my plantar fasciitis however it does not stick on the ends for very long. They start to curl or detach shortly after you apply it. I followed all the recommended instructions to clean and dry the application area and vigorously rubbing the tape after you apply it to activate the adhesive. I also positioned the tape on my foot exactly as instructed by the manufacturer. This brand of cotton tape did not have as much stretch as the synthetic KT Tape Pro and I found that this tape actually caused pain in other parts of my foot.I do like that the backing for the tape has measurement lines on it so you are able to cut off exactly the right amount you want without wasting any.I have found that the KT Tape Pro (different manufacturer) works better for me than Kineseo Tex cotton tape, although it is a more expensive. It has a similar issue with adhesion on the ends but I had a lot more success with it than this brand. I will be switching back to that one if I need to buy tape again. It also comes in pre-cut strips on a roll which makes it easier to work with.If you suffer from plantar fasciitis and are looking for an alternative to taping, the Brown Medical Sol Step works much better for me and is a lot less maintenance. It is an arch support that slips on and has a gel pad on the bottom. There are mixed reviews but I tried it anyway and am very pleased. I ordered one for each foot and have used them for about two weeks. I like them so much I will be ordering another set. 3
