BEST earplugs on the planet!!LOVE these ear plugs!!! We live in a pretty urban part of a large metropolitan city, so have lots of constant traffic and exterior noise. We both sleep with ear plugs every night to ensure we don't wake up to the various noises throughout the night and early morning. We happened upon these ear plugs at a concert a year or two ago and took a few pair home, and used them. These ear plugs fit better in my small ears, and my husband's larger ears, no problem. They go in easily and very snug, unlike many ear plugs that can be very difficult to get into various ear sizes. We will use them a handful of times then get a new pair. But they retain their squishiness and expand like they're supposed to into the ear to create a nice quiet seal all night. I bought this mass box of them to have around indefinitely as these will be the only ear plugs we ever use again. Cannot rave enough about them, having been people who sleep with ear plugs literally every night for years. I do wish they were just a nude/neutral color though, but this green was the only color I could find, so I got them (but that doesn't affect how well they work). 5They Work, They're Fairly Comfortable and They Don't Cost MuchThe standard ear protectors hurt my ears so I bought these both because they are slightly smaller and softer. They are a significant improvement in terms of comfort and still provide all of the noise reduction I need (urban setting with live music at nearby bars). That said, my apparently small and sensitive ear canals still find these a bit uncomfortable but not so much that they cause me any problem sleeping with them in. (I may try the ones specifically designed for women next.) Overall - excellent 5The Best Earplugs I've UsedI did a lot of research on earplugs because I have bad insomnia and even the lightest noise wakes me up. No matter which earplugs I looked at, all had some bad reviews that made me question how well they worked. These came up on a few lists of being the best so I figured I'd try them out and see for myself. They're very lightweight compared to other earplugs, and they're malleable but reform once inside of the ear. And they fit, which has always been a problem with other earplugs since I have small ear canals. At first I thought I would be able to hear too much outside noise, but since I started using them, nothing wakes me up and they stay in my ears all night long. They were affordable and came with more pairs than I realized I was getting. 5After some modification, I like these better than countless othersI m a fairly petite woman who wears these at night to block out a snoring hubby and the neighbors aging heat pump right outside our bedroom window. I ve tried many earplugs, and all the women s specific ones, all of which had major drawbacks ranging from not staying in to being painfully hard. The pink Howard Leight women s earplugs were the right size, but the foam was awful hard and I d wake up with sore ears. I ordered these low pressure foam ones and love the softness while still being effective at blocking out noise (unlike some of the softer women s earplugs such as the purple Mack s, which were soft but hardly blocked any noise. These green earplugs are too large, so I just take 10 minutes to cut them all down to a shorter length with scissors and store them in a ziplock bag. I leave a small amount of flare at the base for safety. Each pair lasts about 3 nights, could probably go longer but I want to be safe. I wish they d just make these in a slightly more petite size but keep the foam the same. These are fairly easy to get in my ears with proper technique, stay in all night, and allow me to sleep on my sides comfortably. Every now and then I ll have a slight soreness upon waking, probably only when I ve been on one side longer than normal. Overall though, I think these are the best earplugs for me to use on a nightly basis to achieve deeper uninterrupted sleep. Oh, and I can still hear my alarm clock and things such as a smoke alarm, no worries. 4Not the sameI've used these ear plugs for several years now and always liked them. I used them at work, while shooting and sleeping. The last box I received are not the same quality as before. They seem smaller and softer. Very difficult to insert into ear. Up until the last box I would have given them a 5 start rating. I don't know if I got a bad batch or if they have changed but I won't be buying them again. 1Great sleep for tiny ears.Bought for sleeping; absolutely gets the job done. Speaking as a smaller-than-average person with small and odd-shaped ear canals, these do the job very well. Fitting them in is easy, but instructions MUST be followed. Pulling the ear back as instructed assures exact fit. One in, they are IN - they do not come out unless pulled out. Great for a toss-turner and side-sleeper. If pushed in halfway, they reduce noise but do not block it. Inserted all the way, and they cut sound well. Can still hear alarm in the morning, but it is very muffled. Definitely keeps me from hearing the cardinals when they wake up just after dawn, right outside my window..Would not use these in concert setting; too much sound range is lost. They're too good ;)Ears a little sore after consistent use; hoping I'll adjust over time. 5Sound damping not very good for somethingsToo large and too soft to push down into the ear and don't fit deep into ear canal. Would not buy again,UPDATE: So it's not meant for loud sharp transient sounds like at a gun range (that's what i originally brought it for) but I did use it successfully for sleeping when a noisy neighbor was having a party and it worked great. It takes a full minute for it to fully seal the ear canal. The plug is very soft and you can lay your ear right on the pillow and the plug is not jamming in your ear. 3Can't ride my motorcycle wtihout 'em!Love these plugs when riding my motorcycle! Even with a good-fitting, high-quality, full-face helmet on, I need protection from the wind noise. I can ride to and from work without 'em (~10 min), but if I'm going to be on the bike for anything longer than that, I need these. Seriously, if I forget to put 'em in before I slip the helmet on... I notice that fact in the first 10 seconds of riding the bike, and will find a place to pull over, take my gloves off, take my helmet off, and put in the ear-plugs. The sounds I *need* to hear come through A-OK, but the reduction of all of the 'background' noises means that I can focus on the things that I need to. On long all-day rides, I find that I arrive at my destination much less fatigued - simply from not being subjected to the constant noise.These green plugs fit my smaller (I guess... never had 'em measured, tho the Orange Howard Leight MAX plugs made my ears ache after a few hours) ear-canals well, and stay in place great as long as I do a good job inserting 'em. Heck, even though they are described as being 'disposable', I have found that they can be re-used a good number of times before they start to expand too quickly, preventing me from getting them inserted well. Note that they will often get "too dirty" for me long before they start expanding too quickly, but YMMV based on your personal 'gross-out-factor' and the availability of a clean set.Oh, and these are CHEAP! Purchase two boxes, and pass 'em out like candy at a parade (no I don't have any vested interest in the company, the product, the retailer, etc...) 5Great disposable earplugsGreat disposable earplugs. I need to use nightly because of my husbands apnea machine and outside noise. These are the only earplugs that do not hurt my ears. They seem to cut out more sound than other soft plugs I've tried. They squish down really small so they can be placed far into the ear canal. They work well when only placed into the ear 1/2 way. They stay in all night with not problems. You can lay on your ear without it hurting. This is my second purchase of 200 pairs! It's great to have them in separate bags so I can toss them in my purse, suitcase and carry on. There is always a pair when I need them! They lasted a little over two years. Great investment for a good nights sleep. 5Absolutely fantastic! I use them on my motorcycle and am ...Absolutely fantastic! I use them on my motorcycle and am extremely happy with the reduction in wind noise. I also sleep with them. I live directly next to RR tracks (train speed limit is 45mph going both directions) at an intersection and the train whistle is as loud as it can be . With my ear plugs I don't hear the blowing horn at all. I sleep thru at least 10 trains a night (5 each way). I counted them before using these ear plugs. I never slept thru the night! I sleep soundly now. I've used other foam ear plugs and these are the softest and most noise reducing of all brands that I've tried. 5
