Perfect fit for my 91 4RunnerThis is amazing for the price. To be honest I was just looking for a new First Aid bag as my other one finally bit the dust and the zipper failed and this fit the bill, the fact it actually came with items was a bonus for me. There s enough room that I was able to take items from my old first aid kit and put them in this one with room to spare. I did take out the cotttonballs though, I don t see a need for them as I have more than enough sterile gauze pads. The bag itself is made out of decent material and doesn t carry a strong smell. Everything included in the kit seems to be of good quality, I only wish it came with iodine and sting relief capsules (I ordered both of those for less than $10 off here to add to it). I also reorganized it to manner that I find useful, every one has different needs, I have a three year old so band aids needed to be most easy to find for me. I drive a 91 4Runner, it has these lovely little compartments in the rear on either side. My goal was to find a bag that fit in one of those compartments and this bag fits like it was made for it! There s a little room left under the first aid bag for my ratchet straps and tow rope. I would highly recommend this bag for cars especially if you re a hiker like I am. 5Brough this first aid kit with me to a school ...Brough this first aid kit with me to a school in Cambodia and it has served me well! Only thing I didn't realize was that it doesn't come with any medication except for lidocaine gel (which got used plenty!). All the dressing/wound care items you could need but you will need to buy hydrogen peroxide, antibiotic ointment, etc. separately. 5Lacking most of the basic first aid needs.Having raised 3 children and nursing them through innumerable scrapes, bruises, and cuts, I found this kit overstuffed with cotton balls and advanced types of wrapping and gauze pads, most of what the average person would never use. There were several odd types of gauze patches (some of which I have never seen before) 6 types of elastic wrap, and a large bag of cotton balls, unnecessary because there were alcohol swabs. The kit was lacking in small-wound care, such as a larger variety of bandaids (no butterfly bandages), no anti-bacterial ointment, no tweezers, and no fingernail clipper. There was no bug repellent or bug-bite salve. The small straight scissors were of limited usability, just to cut gauze to fit. It lacked a pair of fine-tip precision scissors (curved blade like those used in embroidery), which I use every day to trim hangnails and extraneous skin around a paper cut, for example. The kit also lacked compartments to separate your supplies into categories, so I used snack-sized and sandwich zip-lock baggies to sort the various types of pads, and to sort the equipment/tools from the bandaging. In my opinion. the too small (11 x 6 ") trifold carry bag is not adequate to carry all the necessary little tools and types of medication that the average person would need in an emergency, either in the home or outdoors. It COULD be used to carry just salves and medications, however.I think a serous emergency pack should be packed into a multi-pocketed backpack, each kind of tool, bandaging, and medication in its own pouch. This kit isn't it. Buiild one from scratch. 1A *LOT* of Bandages, But Skimped on the MedsI was excited when I thought the tweezers might actually be metal, but alas, same plastic junk as what's in all the others and just spray painted silver. I only needed to add a few over-the-counter medicines (triple antibiotic ointment, Benadryl, Ibuprofen), saline solution for eye wash, and some butterfly bandages and this (BIG!) bad boy was ready for my trunk. You could probably buy several empty bags and make a good 3-4 out of this one; there's enough bandages and cotton balls to last you for a looooong time! Overall, a very thorough kit and I would buy it again (but I don't think I'll ever need to). 4Physical and Mental HealthI'm a former boy scout who learned the "Be Prepared" lesson. If half of life is showing up, the other half is showing up prepared. I have kept a first aid kit in my car, at my office and in my home for eons. It's just what you do if you're a responsible adult. But when my grandkids were coming for a week long stay in July, I thought I'd better check the contents of the nice metallic box I keep at home with all my first aid supplies. Ooooops... some of these things are not exactly fresh. The box itself was showing severe signs of age, so I thought it was time for a new first aid kit. I went shopping on Amazon after reading some reviews on The Wirecutter and found this great first aid kit.Sure, it has the normal staples of bandages and cleaning pads, but it also has burn gel packs, a notebook and a pencil (think about it - this is useful stuff!) and, thoughtfully, an inventory card that shows what the original contents were and how many of each item were supplied. So, if after a few years, your kit is light on items, you'll know exactly how to restock it.The kit is closed with a zipper that opens from either end and has a fold out pocket. The supplies are logically ordered and easily spotted when the kit is first opened. It is sturdily built and colorful enough to attract attention. I think the people that put this first aid kit together know what they're doing - this kit should last for years. Just having this well-stocked first aid kit aids my mental health. 5Great family or small office medkit. Well stocked, just missing some basicsHonestly, for the price, it's good, really good. Just a big bulky.Add some burn cream, neosporin, popsickle sticks, and more bandaids and you are good.We packed it full and it's fantastic. 5Good kit for home/officeI am an ER RN- and w that experience, I like the size of this bag- used as a base for home emergency kit and the extra space was used to add splinting, krelix, quikclot, etc. folds up nicely and bag actually stitched decently for pre-made kit. Comes w everything stated, plastic tweezers are crap, but everything else looks solid. I like that the bag rolls out to reveal the 3 see-through pockets, which is crucial in a pinch to assess the scene/patient/equip in less time.Tote bag style hanldes, and like all this crap- you buy it hoping to never use it. Bag on the bigger size so id say there are better options for hiking/auto needs. For home or buildings- this kit is a real option and able to take even more supplies should you want to customize. Zippers are not y2k, but better than other kits i have for hiking. Just an honest opinion- good luck! 5Best boo boo kit for under 25 dollars can't buy the materials separately to clone it for less!Buy it! I got this kit as a foundational kit to build on to give it even more capabilities. So impressed for what you get for the money. You wont be able to buy the materials separately to clone it for less! Foundational gear high value! 5Well Thought-outWhoever designed this kit seems to have been smart and also it seems they put lots of thought into it. Very well done. Room to add your own things. Those yellow pads are actually maxi pads that I added because they can be used as a good wound dressing. Things were neatly placed and separated by zip lock type bags. And the price was competitive. 5I live in a suburban and city area so this perfect. If I was out in rural MN or ...I'm a firefighter/EMT. I wanted something for my car to have on hand that would allow me to start treating before Paramedics showed up. I live in a suburban and city area so this perfect. If I was out in rural MN or away from close help, I need a bigger bag. But this works great for my car in the city! Make sure to get some other gloves. These are not good medical gloves for those who use them on a daily basis. (I'm probably just picky :) ) 5
