Much better than regular white socks...The socks provide decent "hold" around ankle without cutting off your circulation. My old socks use to leave an impression on my ankles when I took them off because they were simply too tight. These socks are not at all constricting and still manage to hold up in place. Just hope the elasticity stays as is and doesn't lose its grip... 5Great price for a light elastic socks!I have been using their grey colored socks for about 5 years, and was happy to see they now have white & black. I happen to have peripheral nerve damage from a work accident, and I can not stand tight socks on my feet. Now if they only maid them in brown, I would really would be set for all occasions. The only other choice would be light wool blend socks, and they are fairly costly. Thanks for the socks at a great price! 5Horrible materialIn all honesty I cannot believe people are stating that these are soft diabetic socks. The socks feel like I'm slipping on Velcro against my skin. Maybe it's the color I ordered which is black but the socks will absolutely rub against your skin and make it even worse I am returning them right away 1I like these socksI like these socks. I had purchased another brand which I liked but they were thin on the soles and wore holes after a year or so. I thought these might be better in that respect and they are. However, as other reviewers have noted there is a seam across the toes which require extra room in the shoes. After wearing awhile, certain toes on the right foot feel cramped and become sensitive. I am trying to adjust the socks before inserting into the shoes in order to minimize this affect. Otherwise, I think the socks are great. 4No tightness around ankles!They stretch well so they fit large ankles but are not tight. They will fade after tons of washings, but not real bad. It s the pilling that makes me give 4, not 5 stars. Black fuzzies all over, on your feet, between your toes, on the carpet, in your shoes. It takes probably 6-10 washings before they finally stop pilling, but for the price, they work. This is my second order. 4Comfiest Socks EVER but beware of toe-lint.I gave these socks a great review before and I don't know why it wasn't published.Love them. Love them. Love them.They will not be to everyone's taste. They do not stay up. They are very loose, even for diabetic socks. And they they are so fuzzy and soft, they leave lots of black lint between your toes. Not an attractive image. And that shedding means they aren't going to last through an endless number of washes.But guess what? if comfort is your first priority, you will not care.these are the most comfortable socks I have ever worn. my feet feel better than barefoot in them. really. they're like clouds. I don't even have diabetes -- I just have really big feet, and zero desire to suffer for fashion ever again.People, these are very inexpensive. Half the price of most diabetic athletic style socks. Mine are holding up pretty well without any special handling, but if longevity is a big concern, throw them in with your gentle or regular wash loads, instead of the ultra cleans. As long as Amazon has them for this price, I will keep buying them.One more odd thing that endears me to these socks: these are my dogs' least favorite socks for tug o war. I suppose they don't like getting that much lint on their tongues.Personally, I'd rather have this 5Horrible and NOT for Diabetics - see photoThese socks should definitely NOT be worn by anyone who is diabetic! The inside of the sock is full of extra pieces of thread that bunch up and leave big blobs. There is also a very ragged seam that would rub on your toes. I tried wearing them inside out (see photo) and they were still terrible. Also, the material is not soft but rather scratchy and you can feel it whenever you take a step (unless you have neuropathy). These are going back to Amazon and I won't be wearing them again!They also tend to run a tad small after they are washed - I wear a woman's 11 (which should be a man's 9) I bought the 10-13 that looked huge before washing but are now small!Please, I beg you, if you are diabetic avoid these socks! 1Not quite what I was hoping forTook a chance on these after carefully considering the other reviews, hoping they'd turn out OK. The first socks I tried on was so too small- the "solid" bottom part barely covered my heel, and the difference between that and the mesh (top) section is huge, so if the sock shrinks at all they'll turn out useless. (I'm a 13, there's NO WAY these would work for anyone with larger feet!)I can understand the complaints about the toe seams, yes they bunch up a bit but fortunately I haven't felt any discomfort from that section.After washing a few pairs and checking for shrinkage I'll have to decide whether to keep them or toss them, too early to tell... 3The socks are not designed wellThe socks are not designed well. I really appreciate that they are cotton, but the design can make the top sides of the socks curl under my big toes... to the point of causing a temporary blood blister (for lack of a better description). I probably will redesign their shape. If you are expecting a thicker sock, this is not it. 3They seem great at first, but began to fall apart in under 3 months.They seem great so far, but I am worried that they are not going to last long.The stitching, and the feel of the fabric, worry me... . ..Luckily they are very cheap, and they seem to do what they are supposed to do, so far.They are much looser on my legs and ankles than my normal socks, and they stay where I put them, for now.------Update: June 26, 2017 (owned the socks for under 3 months)The socks are already showing signs of wear and beginning to fall apart. 1
