Bette than expected :)I have ALS/Lou Gehrigs Disease and it was recommended by my doctors that I add nutrition beverages to my diet.I was bored of the milk type beverages....and this 'clear' style beverage is a NICE change of pace and this particular flavor is quite tasty!.They arrived in great shape....as with everything in this area.....I wish they were a little less expensive, as I have to consume a lot and it adds up quickly.Convenient through amazon.4Better than the Milkier Alternatives.I had major jaw surgery that required a strictly liquid diet for nearly 3 months, nearly a year ago. In preparation for recovery, I had to stock up on powder and liquid essentials that would provide me the most adequate nutrients to help me heal. I had bought protein powder, a variety of nutritional shakes Ensure Plus and anything else that the surgeon gave me the OK for like soups. Having never tried protein powders or shakes before, I luckily tried them before the operation to realize that they were repulsive and if I had to drink strictly those two items, I would much rather just not drink anything at all. Instead, I sought alternatives. Luckily, I had a friend who had the same procedure done and had a similar adverse reaction to the thicker milk type beverages. She suggested Ensure Clear.For those 3 months, I effectively had a strict diet of soup, and Ensure Clear. Ensure Clear is exactly what it sounds like, it's a nutritional drink that has the taste and appearance of juice, which to my stomach at least is far more preferred than milky substances. It's sweet but doesn't taste too artificial to the point where my body begins to question its origins. It goes down easy, and admittedly it doesn't make you feel "full" but at least you can be assured that your body is getting a hearty amount of nutrients.As a whole, I would highly recommend Ensure Clear products if you need to go on a liquid diet and dislike milkier alternatives. I also recommend this as just a supplement to your daily diet, because even when I was given the go ahead to begin a soft foods diet, I continued to drink my excess Ensure and it did wonders in how I was feeling.5Great productThis product was recommended by my surgeon who said studies have shown it promotes faster healing. I enjoy the flavors and the prompt delivery. However it was delivered to the wrong address. The picture helped us find where it was delivered too.5Loaded with Protein and Low Cal Meal Replacement. Very good tasting. Juice like- not Ensure milky.When in need of meal and no time to eat! Or in need of a low cal meal! The protein in this tasty treat that I started drinking after a major dental procedure- I still use! Tastes great and fills me up! Not like other Ensure- Ensure Clear is like a juice. Can even mix with seltzer for more hydration.5This is NOT clear!I bought this product to use prior to a colonoscopy. I am not supposed to drink anything red as it can be mistaken for blood. Not good.The product may be fine for others to use, but not me.1Ensure Clear Blueberry-Pomegranate Nutrition Drink -- I hope Abbott Nutrition Division doesn't stop producing this product!My wife has a medical condition that prevents her stomach from moving the foods she eats through her stomach and into her digestive tract. Her physicians originally had her on a "liquids only" diet, with protein shakes and cream soups providing the only nutrition she could have for almost one year, but she continued to empty even the liquid contents of her stomach through emesis an hour or two after she drank or ate her liquid diet foods. Her physician said she could try adding some more easily digested "regular" foods as she felt she could tolerate them. Her emesis of the foods she ate continued. Soon she couldn't even drink the protein shakes, which she said seemed to "sour" in her stomach quickly after she drank them. We learned about the Ensure Clear Nutrition Drinks and purchased a four-pack of the Blueberry-Pomegranate flavor and a four-pack of the Mixed Berry flavor Ensure Clear drinks. She found the Mixed Berry flavor to be "sweeter" than she liked, but she liked the Blueberry-Pomegranate flavor very well. We keep 4 or 5 of the Ensure Clear bottles in the refrigerator (which isn't necessary while the product has not been opened) because she feels it improves the taste, and she pours the Ensure Clear Nutrition Drink over ice when she drinks it. The Blueberry-Pomegranate flavor has been very difficult to find locally, so we were very happy when I found it available for sale in 12-bottle cases on Amazon.com. We don't know how long it may take before her physician is able to find the right treatment to cure her condition, or at least limit her emesis of what she eats to 3 or 4 times a week. But until then, for now, Ensure Clear Nutrition Drink in the Blueberry-Pomegranate flavor (or the Mixed Berry flavor mixed with POM Blueberry-Pomegranate Juice) can provide her with the nutrients she needs and helps keep her hydration at a level that keeps her able to function properly from day to day.5Great flavorMy teenage daughter does not have much of an appetite and we looked into getting her a protein shake to drink. She didn't really want a shake so I tried to find something she might like. My first purchase was actually a four pack of this in the fruit punch flavor from our local grocery store just in case she didn't like it. She tried it and loved the taste. I then tried a sip and it really is so good. I came to Amazon to see if I could buy and bulk and this came up. We got this and will continue to re-order as long as it is available. I like Ensure Clear Peach the best, but these are very nice, too. It is more of a juice texture than other Ensure products which (to me) are thicker and too sweet/thick/"milk-like" some days. I have a difficult time finding these at an affordable price in my very rural area, so finding them available to ship to me from Amazon has been great.
