A very nice surprise, the quality of this productI ordered the pepperoni flavor, mostly because it doesn't have MSG in it.The taste is good. There is a tiny bit of bite to it just like regular pepperoni.And they are very much like Slim Jims, but without the oil yucky slime on them. I read the reviews saying that they were but I didn't really realize they actually were a similar size and texture to Slim Jims.Perfect portable low carb and keto snack. Where have you been all my low carb life? LOL.I will be ordering this again!5Don't make the mistake I did.These things are delicious! The taste is really good and has a little heat afterwards (**see note at end of review). The texture is good from the package, a little soft but with a little crunch to them, but after refrigerating them they seemed to get a little more firm, which I didn't mind. I felt that they were perfect. But everyone may not feel the same way.I couldn't stop eating them when I first opened the package up.That's where I messed up.I know these are great and everything, but don't eat too many at once. When I did the contents of my intestines liquefied and that was no fun but totally worth it, but its best if you try to avoid it if you can.or don't.5/5 stars for flavor5/5 stars for super bonus colon cleansing**note**Don't take my word for it when I say "little heat", I'm a bad judge of spice. The amount of heat from the habanero spice in these may melt your face off.5Tastes Too MushyThese sticks are made with beef and beef hearts. Let that sink in while you think about buying this product. The sticks are soft and mushy. My package had a sticker on it that said "sell by 7/2020" so theoretically it was still fresh or maybe someone switched the sticker on my package. Anyway, the beef sticks that I got tasted terrible. Some were so mushy that, when I bite into them, my teeth pulled out the "beef" without tearing into the casing holding everything together. Absolutely disgusting. I tried to eat about twenty sticks and threw the rest away. Save your money and buy something else, or better yet, buy a dehydrator and make your own jerky.1Well...These are so good! If you grew up loving slim jim but would rather not die of a heart attack from all the awful things that go into a slim jim then these are the jerky sticks for you. I keep the bag in my fridge, at first to keep them fresh longer but now that is the only way I'll eat them. It does something wonderful to the texture (nothing wrong with the texture for me but I like it better out of the fridge), The Habanero flavor is my favorite but I really like the Hot and Pepperoni flavor as well. It is small. Diameter is 0.25in and Length is 3.5in compare to 6in Old Wisconsin.2. DRY oh my GOD! It have the same texture as wet cardboard compare to the meaty Old Wisconsin.3. They have a good smoky flavor and are not greasy.Two notes:1) A lot of reviews say they taste like Slim Jims. I like the taste of these but they do not taste like Slim Jims. Slim Jims have their own distinctive taste, which I like and as of yet not seen duplicated. These have a very rich smoky flavor. They taste very good but not like Slim Jims.2) Peppers all taste differently to me. Though these are Habanero flavored you can't really tell. So yes they have a hot spiciness. But because of the deep smoke flavor it's very hard to discern the Habanero distinct taste. Maybe I can just pick out a bit of the Habanero taste. But I would be hard pressed to guess these were make with the Habanero pepper versus any other pepper if it wasn't written on the package.Once the bag is opened you will have to place them into some other airtight container if you want to keep them fresh. Which is fine by me.I will be buying these again. I hope the manufacturer reads this and maybe can add a bit more Habanero flavor or a bit less smoke flavor so that the Habanero stands out more.5Oh Choo Choo R Snacks; I Choo Choo Choose you! These things are delicious!Move over Slim Jim there is a new sheriff in town named Buffalo Bills! These things are delicious! I went with the hot sticks and am not disappointed at all with the product. The only thing that would be nice is if the bag resealed perhaps? But it's dried meat sticks so it isn't like just tucking the bag over neatly and securing it with a rubber band or chip clip or whatever is going to dry your snacks out. I plan on pouring mine into a big ziploc though anyway. They are hot and spicy without being terrible. If you LOVE really, really hot stuff you will probably not think this is hot enough, perhaps? It's plenty spicy and just the right temperature for my tastebuds though. Better than a Slim Jim and without that orange, greasy part that they have. They are shorter than I thought they'd be based on the picture but now see they tell you they are 3.5" You get a pound and 14 ounces which is unbeatable at the price. Less than a quarter per snack. No way can I get anything comparable in the stores for this price. Especially for the quality and tasty product you get. Definitely will plan to try other tasty flavors from this vendor in the future though!5Genuinely Addictive!These are addictive. I originally purchased a pack since it has become impossible to find jalapeno Slim Jims in my area. The habanero name was intriguing. I like the dry surface, a far cry from the oily spinal fluid that Slim Jims are packed in, so no mess when eating. There is a good hit of heat, but not overpowering. The first package was supposed to last me three months as a two a day snack item at work. Either I can't be trusted or these things contain some addictive ingredient. Second pack is waiting, hidden in my desk as I go through the last dozen or so sticks from the first pack. At only 40 calories a stick, the indulgence is wracked with guilt. A very enjoyable item at a fair price.5Terrible and openThese are worse than slim Jim's. Ive had Buffalo Bill meat sticks in the past and they were not like these slim jims. I could not be more dissatisfied. The bag was torn open as well and put in another shipping bag.1Less greasy, but beware.They aren't bad, less greasy then slim jims. Only real issue and no this is not a joke.These things are little spawns of satan, as with the those sugar free gummy bears from Haribo. I have eaten about 10 of them, a few minutes later I'm sitting there surfing the web, when this feeling hit me, this rumble then next thing I knew I was in a race to get to the bathroom upstairs of all places, barely made it. Never again. Will I order these things. They are gone now, but damn the damage is done now. These should be on the shelves in the weight loss section.3
