Ineffective3 of 4 in our household switched to this probiotic because of a recommendation. All three of us had symptoms indicating our gut flora was poor within three weeks of using it. We switched back to our regular probiotic and felt much better within 10 days. Considering all the positive reviews for this product, the only possibility we could come up with is that due to the fact that it arrived on 8/8/18, at a very hot time in St. Louis, it could be that the product was manufactured well but then the good bacteria was killed during the transit with Amazon. We also know of someone who used it to reverse group B strep lab result and again it did not work but that person also ordered through Amazon at a very hot time of year. 1I especially like that these are travel-able since they don't have to ...Noticeable improvement in gut health, this is one of 2 brands that actually work for me, the other being Garden of Life Women's, and I've tried a bajillion different brands. I have late-stage Lyme with a lot of damage to the gut, so finding something that actually helps my gut and allows me to actually eat food is a keeper. I take another for personal consumption and use these strictly for food projects but I know that they are powerful b/c they work better than all others I have tried. Had pb8 so started with that while waiting for bio kult to arrive and it worked great for both headaches and mood. Then switched to this and headaches every day and intense anxiety. Went back to pb8 and all good again. Every one is unique. Great that this works for some people. 2Has strep strain which may be an issue for someI'm a little mixed on this product because this cultures very well in milk. It's the real deal. However, shortly after my family started this, we all became very ill. Which is unusual. My youngest toddler came down with an awful cold. My oldest age eight: who never gets sick, came down with croup! I developed a horrible and painful strep throat and suffered for nearly two weeks before getting on antibiotics. I was taking these the whole time. And my husband who also never gets sick thanks to his constant hand washing also developed an awful and painful sore throat after only a couple of these capsules.It could entirely unrelated so I will put these aside and try them again a few months. I'm very hesitant too. This the three stars.After my antibiotic course, I started these again but after some research: I've decided to try something else. My strep bumps have not gone away although I'm no longer in pain. It's been two days since I've gone off the z pack so it's possible it is still working in my system.I'm switching to Florastor (which is a healthy yeast and will not culture in milk). Florastor has been used with great success against strep strains and helpful for those who have issues with OCD, anxiety, etc. I'm also going to use it with the Healthy Origins Probiotic because it has similar strains however it is strep free unlike biokult.I suspect my family is sensitive to the strep strain for whatever reason. I have had a really tough year health wise so I'm going to take a closer look at which strains I'm using from now. If you're having issues with anxiety, ocd or other mental strains, you may be histamine sensitive. Thank you! 3Best Probiotic Out ThereAfter having my son 6 years ago I suffered from severe sinus infections. My chiropractor suggested that I start taking these in an effort to build up my immune system and help with these ongoing infections. I was hesitant at first but within a week I noticed such an overall change. To my surprise my mood improved, I was able to stop using my awful steroid cream because my eczema cleared up completely and my digestive system was so regular. I very rarely experience heartburn anymore and I have even put my son on them to clear up his eczema. I am now 6 months pregnant and have taken these pills the entire time. I haven't had any gas pains like I did with my first pregnancy, my mood is definitely better and I have had a few episodes of mild heartburn compared to awful heartburn during my first pregnancy. My son has not needed an antibiotic since starting these and I plan on putting my daughter on them once she's born. It seemed as though I was on some antibiotic every other month before these pills and my eczema was so itchy and severe that it would wake me up at night. These pills have literally changed my life and I highly recommend them and do to everyone!! 5Good StuffBottom line, if I don't take one of these every night, I end up constipated. My teenage daughter swears that these help her IBS, and says that she no longer gets UTIs, which is huge! 5Helped my babyI ve been taking this brand for years. When my 6 month old wasn t tolerating solid foods the pediatrician recommended probiotics. This one is ok for infants, so I would open a capsule and put some on her food. I would also put some of the powder on my nipple before nursing or add to a bottle. It helped her! It took about 3 weeks. 5If you have a UTI, use this!I had a bad urinary tract infection and, against my better judgement, I went and got a round of antibiotics. I haven't taken antibiotics in over 10 years and not only did they make me feel very sick, they didn't get rid of my UTI, which meant I would need another round. I was also nervous about ending up with a yeast infection. I read up about natural cures and discovered that probiotics help the good bacteria flourish in the vaginal area. I ordered this brand on recommendation from a holistic mental health practitioner, and needless to say, they did the trick. My symptoms vanished within a month. I can still feel the start of a UTI every once in a while, so i'll be ordering my second box to completely get rid of it. I've also noticed that I can digest food easier and I just feel better overall. So many health issues stem from the gut and these probiotics really help to promote and stabilize good gut flora, among other things. 5Great probioticTMI BUT.... If your anything like me and get yeast infections from antibiotics. This probiotic was a life saver! I took it 3 times a day between doses of the meds and avoided a yeast infection for the first time EVER on antibiotics. It also helped me get my digestion back inline after I finished the meds. Will be buying again, great product. 5
