Very difficult to swallowWith the choices diminished because of the panic over the corona virus, the buying options for Vitamin C were limited. Although I was unfamiliar with this maker, this was available and I bought it since I had run out of my more familiar brand. Unfortunately these pills are large and roughly surfaced making them very difficult to swallow. Half the time they get stuck in my throat and I have to continue to drink large gulps of water to try and get them down. I would not recommend this product and especially would not recommend it to anyone with swallowing difficulties. I'm replacing with another brand and tossing these out. Will not buy again.1I ordered caplules but you sent me tablets. i want capsules not tabletes in the brand i orderesunable to take tablets. and i want Ester-c . 1000 mg with citrus Bioflavonoids , Gentle and Non - Acidic, Patented Vitamin C Formula, 100% Vegetarian.Thank you and this is the kind i want and not the one i received. Margaret Lavoie1but I seriously hate when I order the capsules at the higher price ...I ordered and paid for capsules and not tablets. That is why I gave the 3 star rating. Capsules are much easier to swallow, which is the reason I paid the higher price for the capsules versus the slightly lower priced tablets. I have been taking this brand for a while, but I seriously hate when I order the capsules at the higher price and get these very big and hard to swallow tablets! Buyers beware. This happens pretty regularly!3Beware these are large tabletsGreat if you can swallow large tablets. The 500 mg are capsules and I didn t notice the 1000 mg are tabs. So I bought a mortar and pestol to grind the tab into a powder and mix with my morning oatmeal breakfast.5Failed purity testing for high arsenic levelI realized after I bought this that Labdoor (3rd party testing) detected arsenic levels exceeded 0.1 PPM. I would not recommend this supplement and will be throwing this out now.1Great product but cut tablets in half.After doing a lot of research I decided on purchasing this product because Ester-C has a higher absorbency rate than regular vitamin C, and does not make your stomach as acidic as other products. Also, it has healthy citrus bioflavonoids. According to Livestrong.org,, citrus bioflavonoids help lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels; they make skin more resilient; they have the potential of helping with drug resistant cancer cells making them more sensitive to chemotherapy; they could protect the brain against Alzheimer's disease; and they also might provide protection against heart disease since these type of bioflavonoids work reducing inflammation and improve circulation.The only thing I do not like about this product is the size of the tablets. They are huge and I have to cut them in half to swallow them to avoid choking. But cutting them in half is not a big deal. All in all, I highly recommend this product.Inflammation and Circulation ImprovementPromising research involving patients with metabolic syndrome points to a potential benefit of a citrus bioflavonoid called hesperidin. A study published in "The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism" in May 2011 found that patients given hesperidin had fewer markers of inflammation in their blood and improvements in endothelial function, or the functioning of the lining of their blood cells, and thus in circulation as well. These improvements may also lower heart disease risk.5It keeps mine and my family's immune system's strong.I started using Ester-C 1000 mg last year. Throughout last winter I was repeatedly exposed to the flu and pneumonia in my work office, and my immune system stayed strong. The worst I had was a sniffle for a couple days and that was it. My husband and my son also take this product and they have not been sick either. I just purchased four more bottles and I will use it throughout this whole winter again. I take up to 7,000 mg a day when people around me are sick in my office; My husband and my son do the same thing. I am 5 ft tall 150 lbs. I have used other types of vitamin c in the past but I never had the positive results I had with Esther c.5Choking hazard!I don't ever have issues with swallowing large pills but after almost choking several times I tossed it out. Not trying to die while trying to be healthy!1huge tablets!These are tablets and not capsules. Tablets this large are hard to swallow and hard to digest. When I realized they were tablets and wanted to exchange for capsules, I was informed they could not be returned. It does NOT read tablets in the product description and it is NOT legible on the picture of the bottle. Shame on the seller and shame on Amazon.1We have been using this for several years.This is a very good vitamin C supplement but the only drawback is the capsules are large and hard to swallow so it is best to take them with food. It would be good if the manufacturer put a coating on the capsules to make them easier to swallow.5
