An addition to my first aid kit for life. Must try!!!As long as you know how to place these correctly, these are amazing and will stay in place longer than anything else that I ve ever used in my years of nursing or personally. Works best by ensuring no air bubbles or wrinkles and running a finger around the perimeter right behind the frame as you remove it. Additionally, if you prep the area by cleansing with an alcohol pad and allowing it to air dry (which is how you should always use rubbing alcohol for it to be effective) that will help make sure that your Tegaderm will stay securely in place. It is the safest choice for sensitive skin or allergies to adhesive bandages and the absolute best choice I ve ever used for skin tears. 5Great dressing and fantastic value!I get medical treatment via IV 3 days in a row, every 4 weeks, so I have a port in my chest. About an hour before it is going to be accessed, I put lidocaine cream on my skin and I needed something to cover it, so that the cream stays put and doesn't rub off. This dressing works very well for that! It is a lot easier than taping saran wrap to my skin...haha. The price (less than $8) is great! For the same price, or more, at a drugstore, there are usually less than 10 dressings in the box. Obviously, I go through a lot of these, so the value is awesome!However, I need to deduct 1 star because the adhesive isn't sticky enough, and I have to also put medical tape on the edges. But that is a very minor thing. I will be buying these for as long as they are available and the price stays consistent.UPDATED REVIEW: I opened my new box and the issue I had before, with the adhesive not being sticky enough, has been resolved. The adhesive in this package is great! Not sure what happened with my others, maybe it was just a fluke or maybe something was on my skin making the adhesive not work properly. In any event, I'm not having the same problem so I wanted to modify my review and add the star back that I had deducted. Great product! 5Eases the pain and irritation of clothing against the skin from radiation burns due to breast cancer.My wife had a breast tumor removed and radiation therapy after chemo which left severe radiation burns around the areola and nipple. This area is extremely sensitive to the slightest pressure and irritation from clothing and she was very uncomfortable. She was constantly tugging on her clothes and I felt helpless seeing how uncomfortable she was and then I remembered my tattoo artist used Tegaderm to cover my tatt while it healed. It worked so well I thought it would help my wife. I searched and found this product. The Tegaderm patch gently covers the affected area providing excellent relief from the pain caused by her clothes, especially when she moves. Being with my wife while she endures the many issues associated with breast cancer is incredibly difficult because there is nothing I can do for her other than being there for support, love, and nurturing. And being able to help my wife with something seemingly as insignificant as this was huge! Not only for me but also for her because the Tegaderm does indeed help to ease her extreme discomfort with one aspect of many she has already endured. The Tegaderm breathes almost like cotton, it feels soft, and it's comfortable to wear because it moves with the body almost like skin. She can shower with the patch on and it lasts for many days if needed. It comes off gently and doesn't pull the skin so hard or make the area worse when removed. I cannot adequately articulate the extent of our gratitude for a product that works so well. 5Great for covering T1D devices!My six year-old son is type 1 Diabetic and wears a small Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) that helps us keep track of his blood/sugar levels. He typically wears each CGM around two weeks before it needs to be swapped out with a new one. The adhesive on the these devices is ok and works well for the most part, but there are times where the edges start peeling up early. When that happens we always reach for these 3M Tegaderm dressings. The transparent window makes is super easy to perfectly cover his CGM and the dressing is waterproof and stays put. If my six year-old can't pull it off then you don't have anything to worry about! Highly recommended! 5I wear a fetynal pain patch and regardless of what ...I wear a fetynal pain patch and regardless of what everyone says and no matter how long you hold your warm hand over it or blow a blow dryer and a towel over it, it does not want to stay put. I was constantly repositioning them, using tape that I had to change constantly just to get it to stay. Now when I change my patch I put a tegaderm over it and don't worry about it til the next time I change the patch. Sometimes I do find that I have to change the dressing if when adjusting something i pull it up a bit or if i scratch too much but it works perfectly for what i need it for. 5They attach pretty well, but sometimes don't adhere around the very ...These are genuine tegaderm patches that I use to secure a couple small fentanyl patches to my arm every few days. They attach pretty well, but sometimes don't adhere around the very edges when peeling off the film. This could be my lack of washing or using an alcohol prep pad before putting this thing on, but it's happened with others in the past too. It doesn't seem to affect holding the patch on for more than 2-3 days, so it still works fine. Will stay on even in the shower too, so that's a plus. Good price for a 20 pack. 5Great product, love these.Discovered these at the hospital when my elderly parent had a "skin tear". She's got thin frail skin, and is always getting cuts and nicks on her arms. She's also very sensitive to the adhesives on band-aids, even paper tape.These go on for a week and cause no irritation at all. They are thin, basically almost invisible, and cuts heal great under them.Anyway these are the best thing ever for cuts that you to leave covered for extended periods. Cleanse and dry carefully, apply any particular material like vaseline etc, slap one of these over the top and leave it there several days through showers etc. (As long as the wound looks like it's healing and not showing signs of infection. If redness, remove this, cleanse and replace.) 5Used to Secure Estrogen PatchI know and love Tegaderm, I am normally allergic adhesive from tape, bandaids etc. Never with this product is there a reaction. I use an estrogen patch and it is changed weekly, honestly if you don't use a patch of tegaderm over it the patch comes off the first time you shower. My doctor said this was a great idea, I can use just one small patch of tegaderm to keep the patch intact and working all week. It lasts through 7 showers. I never have a reaction and I am not sensitive to this product. I wear the same patch all week. I change locations with each change and I can't be more pleased. This product saves me money, not having to use my patches too soon because it fell off or I lost it. 5but if that's not something you care about they're probably fine. You can barely tell they are on the ...I'm torn on these :)! They aren't sticky enough to stay on long and they definitely aren't water proof, but they don't hurt when they're peeled off. I won't buy them again, since we need something more water proof, but if that's not something you care about they're probably fine. You can barely tell they are on the skin since they are totally clear, so they are good for keeping a cut or scrape clean without a huge bandaid scene. They aren't stiff at all either, very pliable and thin. 3They were the perfect size for the 2-3 1" incisionsI bought these after my first hip surgery and again before my second. They were the perfect size for the 2-3 1" incisions. I'd cut sterile nonstick gauze to use under. I would put them on in the morning, shower, shower again at night, and then take it off. I'm sure it could last 2-3 days depending on how often you get it wet or where you put it. I think after repeatedly taking it on and off for several weeks I did end up taking a bit of skin off on the edges and have a bit of a scar from it but the skin on a hip is also sensitive. It's not something I'd be concerned about in most areas. I would definitely recommend these! 5
