Machine Shop, Wear All Day, Third Box Of These.Title kinda says it all. I have been wearing these daily for about three years. Tried to use the reusable variety but they get dirty and give you "zits" in your ears. Cleaning ear plugs is about impossible unless they are made of silicone. The silicone ones are great but expensive and then again, you have to clean them daily.The EAR Taperfit-2 plugs are easy, fast, clean and provide equal or better protection from sound (noise in my case) when compared to reusable ear plugs. As a bonus they are comfortable and you can give away a few pairs without breaking your budget.Other applications include driving with your windows down. A long trip seems like nothing if you wear these. You can even listen to your car's radio while wearing them, they don't alter the sound you hear they just reduce the intensity of it. Additionally, you can actually hear other people's voices better when in a noisy environment such as a machine shop. The reduced sound level makes it easier to concentrate on what you are actually hearing. 5works wellthey fit in ear well. I have found that instead of discarding them, after using them, I wash them with hand soap, rinse them out real good and let them dry for a day or two. They seem to work even better after washed and dried. Maybe it is just me, but I have no problem with using, washing and re-using them. Granted, if you aren't thorough with your washing, maybe you can cause an infection, so don't be flippant about washing them...do a good job and these will see you through. At my rate, the hundreds I purchased will last me several lifetimes.... 5The smaller size fits very wellThis is smaller than the orange 3M I've been using for a long time. The orange one doesn't fit my ear that well and will usually fall out, but this is the perfect size for me. Very comfortable and good price! It's like ten cents a pair! Thankfully to a friend who brings it to my home so I can have a quiet sleep now. 5Best ear plugs, even better then customs!These are the best ear plugs ever. I work in a industry where I have to wear ear plugs all day long and these out compete every other style (including my expensive custom made ones...) I bought this box to keep home and use them for sleeping. I'm a side sleeper and these are the only ones that not only stay in my ears with tossing and turning but I don't wake up to a sore ear. I have tiny ears and these fit great, the fact that they are individually wrapped makes taking them for traveling easy and sanitary. 5Too small diameter to block noise. Cannot be returned!BEWARE! You cannot return them for any reason to Amazon. I am trying to return them and was sent to 3M product support, now I am in some involved process which has eaten up half an hour. Their techline is not in service, and the their quality direct line does not answer. The web address does not work. Now I called again the number Amazon gives and am informed 3M does not deal with Amazon. On hold.......OK 3M is mailing a return label . Worst Amazon experience ever!These are more suitable for children. They do not block noise effectively for an adult, the diameter is too small for an average size adult. 1Good for the priceThey block sound quite well, but straight outta the wrapper, they don't wanna stay squeezed long enough to get them in your ear. They swell back up too fast. I've found that after you put them in / take them out a few times with greasy/dirty/oily hands, they get a lot easier. Even the ones I've sent through the laundry machines work better than new ones. However, I'd recommend this big ol' box, and if you're like me, you'll end up with a special shelf or whatever designated to 'still good' ear plugs... I don't think I'll ever run out. Oh and cats love to play with them, so that's always funny. 4Not bad....I usually get Heroes blue color ear plugs...but of recent...their quality control and use of cheaper materials have pushed me to try other ear plugs such as this 3M version.To start...my earholes are big(ger) than normal...so the Heroes version fit perfectly for me....however these ones allow noise to filter thru. The way i use it now is to insert the other butt end into my ear that fits better to cancel noise.The material used is much better than what Heroes is using now. The 3M version feels like what Heroes was a few years ago when they actually paid attention to the customer. Now Heroes is only in for the masses and a quick dime so their quality is dropped to sub-par. These 3M ones are good...if you are a female and smaller ear holes, these will work wonders. Comfortable, and good quality. I give 4 thumbs up for this product...but i wish they would make ones a bit wider to be able to fit into bigger ear holes. I would be willing to pay a bit more for that too... Unlike Heroes, they don't care about customer satisfaction anymore...only about what goes in their pockets...therefore I no longer support Heroes anymores....I'm now going to support 3M. Good job sirs...good job. 4Comfortable and great valueLove these earplugs. A single pair lasts me about a week to ten days of nighttime wear. So cost effective! They have excellent noise cancelling ability. 5Great for a good night's sleep and especially for a daytime napThese come in a really big box and I couldn't believe how many individually wrapped ear plugs were in there!! I gave a bunch of these to family and friends and we still have about a year's worth left (& they are disposable). I would've given it 5 stars but the little wrappers can be frustrating to open. Glad that they are wrapped though. They don't completely block out noise but we can't hear the dogs barking or traffic so good enough. 4Exactly what I've been looking for!I've tried different earplugs I've received from airlines, as well as those from different markets, but so far those yellow 3M TaperFit2 that I received from one of my plane rides have been working the best for me for sleeping! I'm so happy to find this item available in 200 pairs on Amazon. The orange 3M 1100 ones were probably too big for my ear canals so I always get pain and inflammation if I wear them for consecutive days. I don't have this problem with those yellow ones. The other brands I've tried tend to loosen up really quickly and would have fallen out of my ears during my sleep so I had to toss them very frequently, and I just don't find this cost effective. Thank to this awesome invention, I can have quiet, restful sleeps! 200 pairs should definitely last me a while! 5
